Some of you may be familiar with the ANGEL Eau Sucrée fragrance by Thierry Mugler , it's one of my absolute favorites, but they have another fragrance that is absolutely perfect for summer and one that will make you feel a little otherworldly...ALIEN Eau Extraordinaire. Is that name not just everything!?! Even though this is a review for Alien, I couldn't resist giving you a little more info about Angel, it's just fabulous and you are going to want to own it...like seriously, what are you waiting for!

Describing a fragrance is always a bit tricky, but that one is right on the money, it literally does smell good enough to eat! Of course, ALIEN isn't too shabby either and it has honestly become my new go-to summer scent...I cannot get enough of it!

And come on, is that bottle not just the prettiest bottle ever (yeah, I'm totally, totally a sucker for packaging). I have to admit, I don't splurge on many things (makeup and fragrance are usually it) and the price tag is a bit pricey, but honestly, I spent that much on my husband's Dolce&Gabbana cologne for Valentine's Day and I would definitely spend it on ALIEN!
If you're in the market for a great fragrance, that's a splurge item that you will have for seasons to come, I definitely think you should check out ALIEN and ANGEL by Thierry Mugler, they are most definitely worth spoiling yourself! Hey y'all! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!
I have a really cool beauty product to share with all of you today, if you're a fan of the Korres brand then you may already know all about this little gem, but if you've not had the chance to check out the brand, I definitely recommend that you do...I promise you'll love it!
So, today we're going to talk about my new favorite makeup primer, the Korres Pomegranate Face Primer! I'm a huge fan of primers in general, I think that they make a world of difference in getting your skin ready for makeup and this one is probably the best one I've tried so far. The Korres Pomegranate Face Primer is a mattifying primer, that blends to an invisible matte finish while minimizing the appearance of pores, balancing skintone and texture, and preparing skin for smooth makeup application and long-lasting wear. The 94% natural, non-comedogenic formula is water-based so it allows skin to breathe and never clogs pores. The formula is loaded with antioxidant-rich pomegranate extract to help tighten pores, willow bark extract to balance skin, witch hazel water to mattify and tighten while removing excess oil and dirt, and rice starch to absorb excess surface oil and soften skin. No Parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, Petrochemicals, GMOs or Tricosan.
I love being able to share video reviews of products whenever possible, I think it just helps y'all get a better idea of what the product looks like, how it works and really just gives me a chance to share all of my thoughts and opinions of the product with, without ruining my manicure...kidding, I just like making videos :). So, with that said, here's my video review for the Korres Pomegranate Face Pimer.
If you can't tell by the video, I really am loving this primer! I think that compared to other primers that I've tried, this one really does deliver as far as the product claims go...and then some! I don't notice the need to touch up a million times a day when I'm using this primer, which is a huge plus when you have a hectic lifestyle like I do. I also think that the staying power of this primer is far better than most of the other I've tried. As far as prepping my face for foundation, the Korres Pomegrante primer really does just help to hide my pores, while giving my face a more even tone that makes for a really flawless makeup application.
If you're looking for a primer that mattifies the skin, reduces the look of pores, evens out the skin tone and provides a super-long wearing makeup application....you need this in your life! Seriously, I don't even reach for any of my other primers since trying this...it's that good!

Hey y'all!
It's been a rough two weeks for me at work; training for a new brand, lots and lots of angry customers, and the Mother's Day rush from hell, BUT I made it through and am back with my old brand and happier than ever...guess I'll never complain about too many hours again LOL.
If you've been reading my blog for a while then you probably already know how much I love the Bioré brand, seriously, I'm always super excited when I receive an email from them with new products to try and I almost always end up finding a new must-have skincare product when I do. So naturally when Bioré sent me an email a couple of weeks ago asking if I wanted to try out a couple of their must-have skincare products, I said yes and when they arrived I couldn't wait to give them a try!
I received the Bioré Free Your Pores Pore Detoxifying Foam Cleanser and the Bioré Free Your Pores Makeup Remover Towelettes from Bioré to try out recently and I've had a lot of fun adding them to my skincare routine for a little test run!
Let's talk first about the Bioré Pore Detoxifying Foam Cleanser! This cleanser tones, cleans and stimulates your skin, infused with eucalyptus extract, this self-foaming cleanser detoxifies skin and pores by removing surface toxins. The result: healthier-looking, refreshed skin. Gentle enough to use every day, this cleanser will have you feeling refreshed and renewed with every use. I have to be honest and tell you that I was a little skeptical about the eucalyptus and though the tingling effect it had on my skin did take me a little by surprise, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean my skin felt after using it! I'm a big fan of pore cleaners anyway and this one is no exception! You can pick up the Bioré Pore Detoxifying Foam Cleanser wherever Biore products are sold and at less than $7, this pore cleanser may just be your next beauty must-have!
Next up is my favorite of the two products, the Bioré Free Your Pores Makeup Remover Towelettes. These makeup removing towelettes work to instantly dissolve dirt and pore-clogging makeup, even the tough stuff like waterproof mascara! I'm not typically a fan of makeup removing towelettes, my eyes are far too sensitive to use most of them, but I was very pleasantly surprised by not only how little they irritated my eyes, but by how well they worked! Again, you can pick up the Bioré Free Your Pores Makeup Remover Towelettes wherever Bioré products are sold and at around $7 for 30 of them, they're a steal!
Since I'm a big proponent of "seeing is believing", I thought I'd do a little review video showing you the products in action...you can check that out below!
If you're not impressed by how well the makeup removing towelettes removed all of that makeup, then you must not be a hard-core makeup junkie like me, cause those are freakin' awesome! If you're looking for a couple of new products to add to your skincare routine and you love Bioré products like I do, then you have to check these two out!

While I am always hesitant to admit it, I’m a smoker and everyone knows how much of a toll smoking can take on your teeth, so that’s the reason I originally started using Rembrandt several years ago and today, it’s become just part of my daily routine. “I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
If there’s one chore that I detest more than the rest, it’s doing the dishes and I’m willing to bet that I’m far from being the only mom who feels that way. Thankfully I do have a dishwasher that saves me from hand washing the dishes several times a day, but thanks (or no thanks, rather) to my usual brand of dishwasher detergent, I seem to spend more time pre-rinsing before and re-washing after, than I should and that does not make this already way too busy mommy very happy. Being a busy blogger who frequently photographs food (though doesn’t always find time to post about said food) it makes it a little frustrating when my dishes aren’t as sparkling and presentable as I’d like them to be and more often than not, I find myself shining my dishes up before I can take a photo of my recipes because my usual brand of dishwashing detergent isn’t cutting it…there has to be a better way…right
It was by chance that I was chosen to participate in a campaign for Cascade through Mom Central, but I have to say, I haven’t been as impressed with a product review as I have been with Cascade Platinum, in a while. I received a pack of Cascade Platinum Pacs earlier this week so I decided to switch from my usual brand to Cascade Platinum to see how they compared. Before I get into my experience with Cascade Platinum, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about Cascade Platinum Pacs.
Cascade Platinum Pacs are designed to get even your toughest dishes clean, while also helping to keep the inside of your dishwasher sparkling clean and ready to tackle the dirtiest of messes. Cascade Platinum Pacs feature a triple-action formula that not only leaves your dishes spot-free and helps break down tough to clean hard water build up on your dishwasher, they also virtually eliminate the need to pre-rinse, which is a huge time saver when you have a big family and a whole lot of dirty dishes!
As I mentioned above I switched my usual brand of dishwashing detergent out for Cascade Platinum a few days ago and I can’t wait to tell you (and show you) how well Cascade Platinum Pacs performed for me! Since I have a rather large household I run the dishwasher at least a couple of times a day, which not only means wear and tear on my dishwasher, but given the unusually hard water around here, it also means more buildup than I would like inside my dishwasher, it was really nice to use a dishwasher detergent that got the job done and didn’t leave a lot of excess hardwater buildup on my dishwasher. So before I started my trial with Cascade Platinum Pacs I took the opportunity to clean the inside of my dishwasher with a dishwasher cleaner so I could see if they made a difference in the amount of buildup on the inside of my dishwasher…so far I’m very happy to report that the buildup has been nonexistent. Now onto the dishes and I always have plenty of them so putting Cascade Platinum Pacs to the test was not going to be a problem…at all. I love telling all of you about how much I love a product or how well it performs for me, but whenever I have the opportunity to show you the product in action, I do prefer to let you see the results for yourself. I have to admit, Cascade Platinum does makes my dishes sparkle a whole lot more than my old brand, with a whole lot less effort on my part! It’s almost too sad to even say, but summer is almost over. I know, I know I’m not too thrilled about it either. But even though summer is about to give way to fall that doesn’t mean the awesome summer parties have to stop, right? I love this time of year, the heat and humidity are all but gone, yet it’s still warm enough to take a dip in the pool! One of my families’ favorite things to do this time of year is a Family Picnic. I love this time of year, the heat and humidity are all but gone, yet it’s still warm enough to take a dip in the pool! One of my families’ favorite things to do this time of year is a Family Picnic. Alright I cannot say enough good things about this product…I absolutely love it! Aside from the fact that it’s the first vertical ice maker, it’s different, versatile, and fun! I love that you can make 21 cubes of ice and store them in the middle container while you make more. The only negative thing I can say about the Ice Orb is that it is a little difficult to get the outer ring (containing the ice) off of the inner container after the unit has been frozen (something the step-by-step directions that come with the Orb does tell you). I have found that if you let the Ice Orb set out at room temperature for a few minutes or run it under a little hot water it’s so much easier to open the Ice Orb.
One of the other features of the Ice Orb that I really like is the middle container which can be used to chill almost anything; a bottle of wine, water, dips, chilled deserts…and that is what makes it the perfect product to take with you on your next Family Picnic! If you have children chances are pretty good that you have a stuffed toy or 50 lying around the house. Chances are even better that those stuffed toys are often left neglected at the bottom of the toy box—in my house this sadly seems to be the fate of most of the stuffed toys my children bring home. I have to be honest and tell you that in my house my children seem to loose interest in most toys because they are simply not engaging enough to keep them interested. Fortunately for my kids (and for me) I was recently introduced to a stuffed bear that takes fun and learning to the next level!
Zylie the Bear is an inquisitive 12 year old bear who travels the globe looking for fun and adventure. Zylie’s travels come to life in a series of books, the first in the series being The Adventures of Zylie the Bear, New York. Zylie is an 18 inch plush bear who can bend and move (much like Barbie). My daughter Savanna was the perfect age to be the test subject for Zylie the Bear—she loves traveling, fashion, and reading—so I knew her time with Zylie would be well spent! I have to note that the attention to detail in not only the bears, but every aspect of both kits is just phenomenal! My absolute favorite features of the bears are their trendy clothes and impressive accessories (my personal favorite is the tiny drumsticks that Shen has tucked neatly away in his backpack). My kids had a great time playing with both Zylie and Shen and listening to and reading the books that accompany the bears.

Something not too many people know about me is my obsession with make-up. I’ve been wearing make-up since I was 12 and I am definitely one of those women who won’t even go to the grocery store without it. Needless to say I love to try new make-up and find new favorites.
A few months ago I was introduced to mineral foundation and really loved it, and when I was offered the opportunity to do a review for Everyday Minerals I was ecstatic. I’ve mentioned before how much I like the Sassy brand of children’s products. From educational toys to bath and feeding products, I have always made it a point to purchase Sassy first if possible.
When my youngest daughter started feeding herself I was very excited to see what great Sassy feeding products were available, fortunately I was asked very shortly thereafter by Sassy to do a review (talk about perfect timing) for some of their new feeding products.
My daughter Kinley is a very independent child; from learning to walk and talk to now feeding herself it all had to be done they way she wanted to do it. No matter how many times I tried to show her how to hold a fork she insisted on holding it the way she wanted, same thing with picking up food from her plate—it had to be her way. I had a very difficult time getting my daughter to use the toddler feeding products I had left over from my son correctly, so I was very relieved when I received the products from Sassy and saw how easily my daughter took to using them.
We received several products from Sassy’s new feeding products, each special and unique in it’s own way.

While I love all of the products a few really stood out and have made feeding time so much easier at our house. The Less Mess Toddler spoons are one of my favorite products; Kinley has such an easy time holding them which makes feeding herself a breeze. Another favorite are the Stack ‘n’ Serve Feeding Bowl Set—they are absolutely adorable and fun and are the perfect size for both Kinley and Gaige. I have also come to love the Snack Pods which are the perfect size for long car trips—they were great to have on our recent trip to Tennessee. Another thing that I really appreciate about the products are the non-skid borders on the bottoms of the bowls and plates, the borders make accidental spills far less frequent while also offering Kinley the stability that she needs to fill her fork.

Now I will be the first to admit that I’m pretty tough when it comes to most mom tasks; changing dirty diapers, cleaning up cuts, fishing things out of the toilet—all easy peasy…cleaning head lice from my child's head—not so much. And don’t even get me started on the chemicals used in most head lice treatments,the price of head lice treatments and their high failure rate.
