I don’t have too many personal positions that I’m super protective of (with 4 kids you can’t own anything that you don’t want to take the chance of having them ruin…seriously), but there is one exception—my purses. It’s not like I have Louis Vuitton on anything like that, but those that I do have, I love and try not to ruin. If you love purses, or handbags as I prefer to call them, as much as I do then you’ll be able to totally relate when I say that I hate having to put my bag on the floor when I’m out somewhere and there isn’t anywhere to hang it—I really, really dislike having to do that. Thankfully I found Clipa (well actually they found me) so now I never have to put my purse on a dirty floor again—it truly is the little things that make me insanely happy.
Purse hooks are nothing new, in one form or another they’ve been around since the 1940’s (I seriously wonder why I never even thought to look for one of these prior to Clipa), but until Clipa, purse hooks were made to go inside your handbag, where as Clipa’s modern design is made to go on your bag.

Clipa makes a great gift for busy moms and can be used virtually anywhere…the supermarket, on strollers, bathrooms, at sporting events and SO many more places and trust me, when you’re the only mom at basketball practice whose purse isn’t sitting on the dirty gym floor, you’ll be super glad you listened to me and ordered one…better make that 2!

Celebrate the newfound freedom that came with those 3 beautiful words…back-to-school with a cocktail compliments of Mommy Mixology!
I cannot tell a lie, I was beyond psyched on the first day of school, I mean after a summer with 5 (sometimes 6) kiddos to take care of I kinda think I deserved a break…right ladies?
I know you’re thinking, “So what is Mommy Mixology and what does it have to do with me?”. Well, Mommy Mixology just so happens to be a book filled with parenting mishaps turned into the inspiration for playful cocktail recipes that will make you laugh and shake your head in agreement all at once. With over 60 recipes and tons of great photos, author Janet Frongillo uses her own experiences raising 3 boys as the inspiration for the fun and funny cocktails in Mommy Mixology.
I love this book, not only is it funny, it also has some pretty great cocktail recipes…here are a few of my favorites…
* You think your house is all baby proofed, when Houdini baby proves he’s already faster and trickier than you…you definitely need the Houdini Hurricane.
* When your toddler digs in his heels and comes back with “NO!” 367 times, shake it off with a refreshing No!Jito!
* When your 3 year old pushes down his Pull-Ups and learns the difference between boys and girls, sit back and laugh with a Penis Colada.
Now just try and tell met that you’re not dying for a Penis Colada right now…that’s what I thought. While the cocktails are all fantastic, the real winner is the cocktail names and the stories behind them. The book follows a child’s journey from conception to kindergarten and makes you laugh at all of the terrible times you had while your little one was growing up in.
Looking for a new drink to try for ladies night? Maybe you just need a break and a drink—or 5? Whatever the reason, if you’re looking for a great cocktail recipe book then you have to try this one—it won’t disappoint!

This post is for adult eyes only!
If someone would have asked me a few weeks ago if I would ever consider reviewing adults toys on Misadventures in Baby Raising again, my answer would have probably been no, but then I received a pitch that made me change my mind!
So there I was, finally tackling the enormous mountain of emails that I’ve neglected for so long, when I opened an email pitch from a rep that I recently worked with for another campaign, asking me if I was interested in reviewing a new line of adult toys. Now normally I do one of two things when I receive a pitch from PR; I either respond to it immediately (if it’s for something that I think is a great fit for Misadventures) or I leave it (opened) in my inbox to collect dust until the next time I delete all of the “junk” email, and if that pitch happens to be for an adult brand then I almost always delete the email all together. But this pitch had me from, “chic, discreet, and super-powered multi-functioning vibrators and stimulant balms that travel as an every day, high-end make-up kit” and as soon as I saw the image that accompanied the email, I just knew that I had to make an exception…just this once.
So, if nothing else that I just wrote stands out at you, you had to have seen, vibrators disguised as make-up!!! And if that intrigued you as much as it did me, here’s a little more about The Screaming O’s Studio Collection.

Bedtime at our house is a production—and that’s putting it mildly. Between Lil Diva’s constant drink requests (that is something that I have been trying to break her of since she put down the bottle) and Lil Man’s pleading to sleep with Mommy and Daddy, bedtime is the time of day that I anticipate and dread,all at the same time.
When Lil Man and Lil Diva started sleeping in their own big kids beds, I tried to make the transition as easy as possible by buying each their favorite bedding, but Lil Diva only wanted one thing…her penguin pillow. After a few dozen pillow fights, trips outside to play in the mud , and more washes than any other item in my house, Lil Diva’s pillow was not looking so cuddly! It was perfect timing when I received an email a few weeks later asking me if I would like to do a review for Cuddle Covers!
If you’ve never heard of Cuddle Covers, let me introduce you…
Cuddle Covers began with little more than a memory creator, Ilan Sharone, had of a game that he and his brothers used to play before bedtime.
We received the Louie the Lion Cuddle Cover for our review and it couldn’t have come sooner as Lil Diva’s penguin pillow was in dire need of some R&R! When I saw Louie’s head I was a little concerned that the hair in Louie’s mane would bother Lil Diva as she lay on the adorable Cuddle Cover’s lion, but my worries were quickly put to rest when I felt how incredibly soft and cuddly Louie was…mane and all! I couldn’t believe how soft Lil Diva’s Cuddle Covers is, even after several washes, the case is still as soft as it was the first day and just as vibrant and cuddly! I can’t believe how adorable Louie the Lion is, he’s actually replaced not only Lil Diva’s penguin pillow, he has also taken the place of all of the stuffed animals she used to sleep with. I love that Diva loves her Louie so much—she totes him around the house like he’s her best friend…it’s so cute! I also appreciate that Cuddle Covers are so easy to use: “Just Fluff, Stuff, Zip and CUDDLE!!!” and can be washed and dried with ease…believe it or not it can be easily washed is one of the first things I do when I purchase anything for my youngest children! The fact that Cuddle Covers are designed to fit standard pillow cases, makes a big difference to me as well, Lil Diva’s penguin pillow left her falling asleep in awkward positions due to it’s irregular shape and size. I definitely think that Cuddle Covers are the next big thing in fun kids pillows! When you have all (or mostly) girls, you tend to think of Easter as a clever excuse to get your daughter a new Easter dress. Sadly, boys are all but forgotten when it comes to shopping for Easter apparel simply because they can so easily throw on a pair of dress pants and a polo and be ready to go, but girls, girls are a whole different animal!
I must admit, I’ve gotten caught up in the whole dress shopping drama a few times since my Lil Man was born, but this year… it’s all about my boy!
I’ve professed my love for The Children’s Place more than once for you guys, and no matter how many seasons pass or how much trends change, I know that I can always count on The Children’s Place to deliver the most adorable, well-made, super affordable clothing, time after time! One of my goals this year is to get back in shape!
I’ve spent the last three years since my youngest daughter was born saying that I’m going to get in shape and lose some of this baby weight, without actually getting up and doing it! So, 2012 is my year—I think!

It’s been hot in Ohio this summer…I mean HOT! While summer might normally mean tons of fun outside, the higher the mercury climbs the more my kiddos are staying in doors where it’s cool.
Of course, having 6 children stuck inside on a hot summer day means hearing lots of, “MOM, we’re bored!” and the ever popular, “There’s NOTHING to do!”. It’s not always easy to find something that all 6 of the kids like to do and it’s even harder finding something that will keep their attention for more than 10 minutes, that’s why I was more than happy when I received Glow Crazy for them to review!

Glow Crazy is a glow-in-the-dark drawing toy that has provided my kiddos with hours of fun so far this summer. Essentially Glow Crazy is a Magic Lightwand (think Lightsabers for kids that they can magically draw and write with) that your child can use to write and draw on the provided canvas wall clings. When I say that this thing is cool, I mean it, even my husband and I have played around with Glow Crazy (when the kids weren’t looking of course). All you need is a dark room, batteries, and a wall…and your little ones will be drawing until their hearts content!

Why we loved Glow Crazy!
I love Glow Crazy because it’s easy enough for my youngest children to play with and still fun enough for our oldest kiddos to have a good time. I also love that there is absolutely ZERO mess involved and that the wall clings can be easily moved from one wall to another without damaging the paint! Glow Crazy is also a great way to inspire creativity in your children and as a mom I love that about this “toy”!
What I Don’t Love About Glow Crazy!
Honestly, there’s not one bad thing I have to say about the product…my children LOVE it and I love that they can all have fun playing with Glow Crazy. The one thing I would suggest to all of you mommy and daddy’s out there is to make sure you order enough Glow Crazy’s so that you have one magic lightwand for each child. I was sent one Lightwand and it has been a constant battle between the older kids and the little kids over whose turn it is to draw.
Aside from the fights over the Lightwand I would buy Glow Crazy in a second for all of my kids, they all have a great time playing with it, it definitely sparks major creativity, and it’s an awesome alternative to video or computer games or television!
