**Updated With Winners at the Bottom**
Thanks to all who entered!
Both of my youngest children are big fans of Nick Jr. If they’re not watching Dora or The Fresh Beat Band then Nick Jr. is providing the background music for our hectic days! Of all of the shows my children enjoy (and there are several) their favorite is Wow Wow Wubbzy! If you’ve seen the show it’s not hard to know why its such a hit at my house, it’s fun, funny, and so cute!
We were recently given the opportunity to review a new Wow Wow Wubbzy DVD, Wubbzy Goes Boo! My son and youngest daughter were playing in the living room when I put the DVD in and as soon as they heard to familiar theme song they stopped what they were doing and started dancing and singing along (yes the baby tries to sing along with her brother). Both of the babies sat down in front of the television and watched the entire DVD, the whole time laughing and singing along!
Here’s a little more about the movie:Wubbzy and his friends are back in an all-new DVD collection just in time for the fall season! Watch as Wubbzy, Widget and Walden clean up a crazy mess with Moo Moo’s magic wand, pick the perfect pumpkin and create the spookiest Halloween costume of all. There’s singing, dancing, trick or treating and kickity-kick ball too, plus plenty of positive values like creativity, patience and responsibility. It’s all here in the Emmy winning Nick Jr./Noggin hit that’s so much fun it’s scary!
And just in case you can’t wait for the DVD, here’s a sneak peek for you!
Looks like lots of silly fun for your little ones doesn’t it? Well if you liked that sneak peek then I have a treat (or 2) for you! Two winners are going to receive a copy of Wubbzy Goes Boo to enjoy with their little ones!

Most of the time I’m a very level-headed, calm, and collected parent. Lately, however, I have been at a complete and utter loss. My two year old son is in my eyes an angel; he’s sweet, charming, and very polite, BUT he has a horrible potty mouth.
I will be the first to admit that the first time Gaige heard and repeated the F word I thought it was the end of the world, but I did secretly laugh about it (oh don’t you dare judge me…it was funny). The F Bomb was a phase that passed very quickly (thank goodness) but now Bub has a new bad word of choice and it has me pulling my hair out! So what is Bub’s new cuss word? God D#$m! Of all the cuss words he had to choose that one?!? Now I have to take some of the blame for it because I am the only one in my house who ever uses it (again stop judging, it’s very rare that I say it and besides my bad word of choice is the fuck).
I have tried everything under the sun to get him to stop saying it; time out (BIG, HUGE joke), a smack on the bottom, hot sauce in his mouth (he laughs and says he wants more)…I am completely out of options and I need help!
Has anyone else had this problem? How did you manage to flush the potty mouth?

Two Wednesdays a month I take my son to Story Hour at my local library. We hadn't been in about a month because after just having a baby 2 months ago I didn't really feel like attending. Last week I decided to take both of the babies with me to Story Hour...Oh my gosh it wasn't a good idea. Now the story hour is for babies and toddlers; they read stories, play games, sing songs, let the kids run wild in the library (that last one I really do not agree with) it's a good way for the kids to have fun and interact with other children in their age group. Needless to say there is always that one kid who is a demon. Ordinarily I wouldn't refer to a child as a demon, I probably wouldn't even think it unless said child was completely out of control, but the child in question has issues. So we're all sitting around the carpet listening to the librarian read a story when this little boy stands up and starts screaming while the lady is reading...what does his mother do? Nothing. She just sits there and laughs at how rude her child is being. The librarian asks the boy to sit down, he does not, she continues to read. Throughout the entire story the boy just stood there yelling and kicking and laughing...and the mother? She just sat there and smiled like she was oblivious to what her son was doing. I was annoyed! After the story the children were allowed to play. Most of the children were being good; looking at books, playing with blocks...not this kid, he was running around terrorizing all of the other kids. He was running around screaming at the other children, taking their books, knocking over their towers to blocks. And once again the Mother of the Year was oblivious...instead of looking after her demon...I mean son... she was texting. I was fuming as were most of the other mothers. The last straw was when the little boy came running over to were I was setting, knelt down to look at my daughter who was sleeping in her infant carrier, and smacked her right in the face. I was pissed! I had had enough of this child and his mother. I very quickly and calmly (as calm as I could be considering I wanted to bust this child's butt right there in the middle of the library) took him by his hand and led him over to his mother. This is how the conversation went:
Mother of the Year: (Not bothering to look up from her phone) Son be good.
(Um at this point I really wanted to tell her where she could stick that phone, but I decided against it.)
ME: Well actually he's really picking on all of the other children.
MOY: (Finally looking up from her phone and seeing that I was holding her son by the arm) Well if their mothers were watching them that wouldn't happen now would it.(Grabbing her son from my grip)
ME: (with my mouth open in disbelief) You know your son has actually been disruptive for the whole Story Hour and forgive me for being rude, but it is you and not the other parents who need to watch your child.
MOY: Oh so now you're going to tell me how to be a parent.
There are so many things I could have said to this lady, so many things I wanted to say to her, but I realized that doing so would only have caused a huge argument and probably gotten me banned from the library...thankfully the librarian came over and saved me. She asked the lady to please watch her child as he was making Story Hour not so much fun for the rest of the kids. The lady grabbed her son and stormed out of Story Hour...and all of the parents breathed a huge sigh of relief. I don't think she'll be coming back any time soon!

In just 3 short years Misadventures in Baby Raising has turned into what I feel is a great resource for parents to turn to when they need an honest, thorough opinion about a product! My love of finding and sharing great products has allowed me to work with so many amazing brands and to do so many things that I wouldn't have been able to do had I not started Misadventures! When I review a product I test the product in as many different ways and situations as possible. I feel that if a company values my opinion enough to allow me to try a new product and tell others about it then my reviews of those products need to be complete, honest, and as thorough as possible. I review products, websites, and services that are relevant to me and my family and that I feel strongly enough about to put my name (or my blog's name as this case may be) on it.
I feel honored that you took the time to find out more about me, my blog, and my family and I hope that you will return to Misadventures in Baby Raising again soon!
Feel free to email me (a_proffitt79@yahoo.com) or if you have a question or review or giveaway request you can use my form to Contact Me!
