What’s the point in having a blog if you can’t use it to help people in need—right? I love what Feeding America does for the children in our own neighborhoods and I love that Schwan’s is helping do their part to make sure that no children go hungry. If you have a minute or two see what you can do to help…it only takes a second to make a positive change in the life of someone else!
This fall, Schwan’s and Feeding America will encourage consumers to share a few words for what they are thankful for. Schwan’s is making an initial 250,000 meal donation, and then invite you to share! Each “thankful” that is shared will trigger a five-meal donation to Feeding America. We’re also promoting “Thankful Thursdays,” where meal donations to FA are doubled each Thursday for the length of program – a great way to help us in the fight against hunger.

As a mother, nothing breaks my heart more than to see a child hurt or hungry, even if that child is not my own.
For a little over a year, the Sudanese government has been attacking its own people in the Nuba Mountains; people have been driven from their homes, families have been broken apart and there are children suffering from malnutrition…there has to be something we can do about that…right? I mean we live in a country where we have the power to affect change so we should take every single opportunity to do and for the people of Sudan we can…here’s how you can!
Samaritans Purse has been helping to meet the critical needs of over 200,000 Sudanese refugees at two camps that has become home to all of those families who were forced from their homes…that breaks my heart! Sometimes I think that we take for granted all of the little things like food and shelter, but to these people, it’s those things that they most desperately need! Check out the resources below, you can find information about how Samaritan’s Purse is helping the people of South Sudan as well as how you can do your part!
Donate to Samaritan's Purse South Sudan projects and partner with them to drill wells to provide safe, clean water and to distribute food to fight hunger that many of the families in Sudan face.

Cancer has played a huge role in the lives of many people in my family and it’s extremely important for me to help however I can to get the word out! I love Yoplait, not only because it’s my favorite brand of yogurt, it is and always has been (come on, how could you ever manage to eat Yoplait Thick & Creamy Strawberry Banana and not be hooked) but because of the amazing ways in which they are helping the fight against breast cancer!
