While fall may have only officially begun a little over a month ago, the weather here in Ohio recently, has been more like winter…it’s seriously freezing!  With all of the wind and rain and sleet (for those of you in warmer climates, sleet is rain and snow mixed and it’s not fun) we’ve had here over the past few days, I can’t help but dream of warmer weather.

I can see it now (in my mind of course, because all I see out my window currently is rain) warm tropical breezes blowing the smells of the ocean in my direction as I lounge on the white sand with some sort of fruity drink (umbrella and all of course) in one hand and my iPhone (what, I said I wanted warmer weather, not to unplug from the outside world) in the other.  I can see palm trees blowing in the breeze and gorgeous views as far as the eye can see and my children, too preoccupied by all of the sites and sounds to yell “MOM!”, playing happily on the beach.  I don’t know about you, but any time my daydreams include my children playing happily, and more importantly, quietly, I’m just automatically relaxed and can barely even hear them screaming “MOM!” in the background or the sound of toys being thrown from the toy box.

With all of this daydreaming going on I thought it would be nice to put an actual image to it so I  decided to do a little digging and found the place I’ve been picturing in my head, Hanalei Bay Resort on the North Shore of Kauai.  Not only is it in Hawaii, which I’ve always wanted to visit it’s just absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!  I don’t think I could have imagined a more beautiful background for my daydreams if I tried.

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure that the cold weather we’re experiencing here in Ohio is here to stay, but at least now I have some gorgeous images to help make my daydreams a little more real…wonder if I can talk my husband into moving to Hawaii?
