California Cook-Off and a Giveaway!

Calling all of you fabulous home cooks…I have a great contest for you to check out from Dole!
imageStarting today (Friday April 16, 2010) you can enter your original signature entree into the California Cook-Off for a chance to win the ultimate cooking experience.  Entering is easy…just submit your own original recipe with seven ingredients or less that spotlight Dole Canned Fruit or Juice.  Five finalists will win a 4-day 3-night, all expense paid trip to Los Angeles where they will get the ultimate cooking experience and swap cooking tips with celebrity chef Ben Ford, $1000 cash, and placement of your recipe on 1000s of Dole Canned Fruit or Juice labels.  So put your thinking caps on, grab some yummy Dole products, and get creative! 
To help you get your creative juices flowing Dole is offering one Misadventures in Baby Raising winner some VIP coupons for free Dole products!  image

    My favorite is Dole Pineapple Tidbits, to put on Hawaiian pizza. I won't enter the contest, I am not that good of a cook!

    I use pineapple chunks all the time. It's an easy way to get fruit into my kids. I don't plan to enter the cook-off. I love to cook, but don't have original ideas. Thanks for the giveaway.

    I might enter the cookoff - not sure right now. We LOVE the dole fruit cups specifically in the mandarian orange variety. I bought 20 packages the last time they were on sale and the next time they go bogo at publix I plan to buy a minimum of 40 4 packs. That might seem excessive but I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old and my dad who ALL LOVE those fruit cups!

    I love canned peaches in light syrup. They're just so yummy. I put them on ice cream, in salads, and sometimes eat them straight from the can. I do not plan on entering the Dole Cook-Off.
