As part of a paid promotion for their “Do What You Love” Sweepstakes, Cheerios® is sponsoring my post today about what my ultimate family vacation would be. Read mine and Enter the Sweepstakes for a chance to actually win your own fantasy family trip or one of a bunch of other great prizes.

Our family is constantly busy and on the go, we don’t often get a chance to do things together as a whole and spend quality time together, that is why our annual  family vacations are such an important part of how we stay connected.

Having a large family means cutting corners and sticking to a strict budget when we plan our vacations, and that means that we can’t always go where we really want to go or do what we really want to do.  And though I do have fun planning our trips on a budget, that doesn’t mean I haven’t often put together our family’s dream vacation in my head.  Our Ultimate Family Vacation looks something like this!

Our dream vacation would start with all of our family hopping a plane and jetting to Rome, Italy.  Visiting Italy has always been a dream of mine and one that I do someday hope to fulfill!  We would start off our tour of Rome by visiting some of Rome’s many famous sites; the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and of course I couldn’t resist tossing a few coins in the The Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain) for good luck.  After seeing all that Rome had to offer we would travel to Venice and wonder through the Grand Canal on vaporetti (the boats used to get around in Venice).  I would also love to visit the Piazza San Marco and take in all of the beautiful sights and sounds!  Next on our tour of Italy we would travel to Milan because, well what woman wouldn’t want to visit Milan to go shopping?  Of course, a trip to Milan wouldn’t be complete without seeing the Last Supper painting and taking some time off from shopping to enjoy Milan’s fabulous nightlife!  After we departed Milan, we would visit Tuscany and stay for days admiring the amazing scenery and fabulous food.  Our Italian holiday would end with a visit to Naples where we could nosh on some of the best pizza in the world in the city where it was invented!  And though I would never want to leave, we would have to say Ciao and  end our trip in Naples and head back home, but I would never want to forget all of the beautiful sights, sounds, smells, and memories that we shared in Italy as a family!

And there you have it…my idea of the ultimate family vacation…I guess I better start saving my pennies now!!!

Don't forget to enter the “Do What You Love” Sweepstakes, for a chance to win your own ultimate family vacation. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

  1. I have been to Rome and it is amazing! Don't know how family friendly it is though....it is a huge city and being from the country I don't do big cities with kids. BUT Venice is amazing and perfect for kids. LOVED Venice!!
