Now what would a trip to the amusement park be without a great camera to capture all of the fun memories?  I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to review a great new camera from Kodak—the camera will be used to shoot all of the photos for the Summer 2010 Must-Haves list so be on the lookout for the amazing picture taking capability of the Kodak M580 camera.image I was sent the new Kodak EASYSHARE M580 digital camera from Kodak to review for my Summer 2010 Must-Haves series.  “The new KODAK EASYSHARE M580 Digital Camera. Kodak’s Share button allows you to tag pictures directly from your camera for e-mailing, or uploading to YouTube, FACEBOOK, FLICKR and KODAK Gallery sites, plus e-mail too.”  The M580 has a long list of impressive features to entice even the pickiest camera critics:
*  One button upload-  This feature allows you to go from snapping your photo to sharing with your friends on Facebook in seconds.
*  8X Optical Zoom 28 mm wide-angle lens.  The quality of the lens is by far one of my favorite features of this camera.
*  Image stabilization.
*  Amazing quality prints with 14 megapixels.
*  Smart Capture and Face Recognition features.  Smart capture automatically identifies the scene and subjects and configures the best camera settings to produce the best quality photos.
*  True HD quality picture and video!
And those are just a handful of the amazing features of the Kodak EASYSHARE M580 camera—did I mention that the M580 sells for the ridiculously low price of $199.99?
First and foremost I have to say that I have been a loyal Kodak customer for years, as a matter of fact I have never owned another brand of camera…ever.  There are many reasons I have been loyal to Kodak for as long as I have; price—the quality of camera you get for the price is right on point with my budget with Kodak, quality—for me Kodak means quality, I have never been disappointed with a Kodak camera purchase (a huge reason I have continually chosen Kodak for my camera needs), and longevity—there is a good reason why I still have (in working condition) my very first Kodak camera, they are built to last…and they do!
Given my past experience with Kodak cameras I expected the M580 to be a great camera, but it completely exceeded my expectations!  There are a list of features that make the M580 an exceptional camera in my eyes; it’s 3.0 in. display makes viewing your photos so easy, the 8x optical zoom and 28 mm lens make capturing far away shots a breeze, and the Smart Capture feature makes it virtually impossible to take a bad photo with this camera.   Overall I was more than impressed with the quality, ease of use, and phenomenal photos taken with the M580.
In reviewing the M580 I took so many photos; close-ups, portraits, faraway shots, shots in motion, fireworks—you name it, I shot it.  And since you know how much I believe in seeing is believing below are some of my favorite shots taken with the Kodak EASYSHARE M580 digital camera.

I really cannot say enough good things about this camera, it’s easy to use, very versatile, affordable, and it takes great photos—in my book that makes a great camera!
