WARNING: This post deals with poop...reader discretion advised!

I am such a proud mommy right now! For the past few weeks I've been trying to get Bub (who is 17 months old) to pee in the potty...and he has been less than interested in doing so. Today when he woke up from his nap he had that look in his eye(you moms know what I'm talking about) and he promptly went to hide behind his favorite chair (affectionately known as the Poop Spot by everyone in the house)...well I decided to try to get him to go to the potty. I took him to the bathroom, sat him on the potty, and 5 minutes later I was jumping up and down screaming for everyone in the house to come and look (gross I know, but again you moms know exactly what I'm talking about). He had pooped in the potty for the first time! I'm so excited and so proud...I wasn't even going to begin officially potty training him until next month, but maybe now I can start a little early! Yay Gaige!

  4. I've attempted the whole potty training with my 20 month old. He's a crack up! He'll sit on the pot with his pants on and even go as far as making the grunting sounds. But the moment I take off his diaper, he starts whining and crying. Like all of a sudden he's scared of it. Go figure.

I need to be more persistant about the whole thing. Guaranteed though, I'll be just as excited as you. Awesome job little man! Way to make Mommy proud.

  5. Well I'm sure that today was a fluke because he usually throws a fit and a half when I try to put him on the potty...either way I'm just happy he knows that it's nothing to be afraid of!

  7. Well he is doing a lot better than my little man. My G will only sit on the potty fully clothed. I think this potty training stuff is going to take a while!
