When I became a mom I gave up a lot; my crazy, wild, party days, my freedom, and my love of jewelry. As soon as my first child was born it became nearly impossible to wear any type of jewelry without having it ripped out or pulled off, so except for my rings and earrings every once in a while I stopped wearing jewelry. Now that my youngest child is old enough to know better than to pull off my necklace or chew on my bracelet I’ve started wearing them more and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Recently I had a chance to review some amazing jewelry from CoppinsGifts.com and I can’t wait to tell you all about them!
About Coppin’s Gifts:
Coppin's Hallmark began in 1993 with one store in Logan, Utah. An online pioneer, Coppin's established its first online website in 1996.
Coppin's Hallmark has become one of the largest volume independent gift retailers in Utah and across the west (and online across the entire continental US). Coppin's has won awards, and top dealership status with many top gift brands including Precious Moments, Boyd's Bears, Willow Tree, Ty, Webkinz and more.
Coppin's Hallmark strives for 100% satisfaction and offers service guarantees on shipping, quality, and satisfaction on all of your purchases, so you can be assured that you will be happy and that your order will be fulfilled quickly and accurately, and if there is a rare mistake, we will make it right, quickly and fairly.
Over the years, Coppin's has added six other locations in Brigham City, Harrisville, Layton, Murray, and American Fork, Utah and Chubbuck, Idaho, and has been an online retailer through its own website, shared vendor sites and conducted online commerce through the Amazon and Ebay platforms. We will continue to bring extra features to Coppin's Hallmark Online over the next few months, so come back regularly.
Our goal is simple-To bring you the top gift ideas at industry leading low prices while providing fast and accurate delivery, every order.
As I already mentioned I recently had the chance to work with CoppinsGifts.com on a review, for my review I was able to choose a bracelet adorned with the ultra trendy Davinci beads (Coppin’s version of the popular Pandora beads, but much less expensive…Coppin’s version go for $6.99 each) but I decided that I wanted something a little more personal and went for charms for to represent each of my children. So I chose:
* The Davinci Beads Music Note Dangle to represent my oldest daughter’s love of all things musical and to represent her amazing voice.
* For my middle daughter Savanna I chose the Davinci Beads Tennis Shoe to represent her amazing gift of athleticism.
*For Lil Man I chose the Davinci beds cowboy boot dangle to represent the love of cowboy boots that he has always had.
* The Davinci beads Sparkle Purse dangle to represent my Lil Diva and her love of all things sparkle and girly.
It may sound a little strange, but when I wear the bracelet I feel like I have a little piece of each one of my kids with me and that’s such a comforting feeling. I also love being asked about the bracelet (and I receive a lot of compliments on it) and then explaining the story behind each charm.
Of course, Coppin’s Gifts has so much more than jewelry, they also have some of my favorite figurines (Willow Tree), Plush toys (including Webkinz and My Pillow Pets) and so many other great gift ideas for every member of the family! If you’re in need of a very special gift I definitely recommend Coppin’s Gifts—you won’t be disappointed!
Now I have a very special surprise for y’all! One very lucky MIBR reader is going to win 3 beads (of the winner’s choice) and a toggle bracelet to place them on! How awesome is that of Coppin’s Gifts?

My children all love soda (or pop as we call it here in Ohio), the problem is that I don’t often allow then to drink anything with a lot of sugar in it. You can’t imagine how many times I hear, “But Mom, all of my friends are allowed to drink pop!” from my oldest daughters. No matter how many times I have to listen to their angry pleas I stick to my guns and tell them NO! Though I don’t allow my kiddos to drink soda that often I have always thought it would be cool to have a soda machine at home but could never find one that I liked until I found Soda Stream!
Soda Stream lets you turn water into fresh sparkling water and soda in just a few easy steps! If you’ve ever wanted to know how you can make soda at home Soda Stream is perfect for you…it’s fun, fast, and tastes fantastic! Here’s some more about Soda Stream from their website:
Making carbonated water and soft drinks is simple! Turn tap water into sparkling water in under 30 seconds, with no clean-up. Enjoy the freshness and convenience of homemade soda and protect the environment at the same time. No heavy bottles to carry, store at home or throw away. Fizz to your taste and add the flavor of your choice to make your favorite drink. Simple to clean and reuse. With a variety of colors and silhouettes, you'll be sure to find a soda maker to match with any decor.
Just a few of the many reasons I love Soda Stream:
Soda Stream soda makers are fun and easy to use (my 8 year old is an expert at making soda she could probably show you a thing or two)
There are SO many flavors to choose from!
Varieties include regular flavors (Cola, Cherry Cola, Lemon Lime, Energy Drink), diet flavors (Diet Fountain Mist, Diet Pete’s Choice, Diet Energy Drink), MyWater Essence Flavors (Lemon Lime, Mint, Berry) and so many more!
Making your favorite soda, flavored sparkling water or energy drink is simple, with SodaStream's wide variety of over 30 sodamix syrups including dozens of regular, diet and caffeine-free options. Flavors include classics like cola, lemon-lime, and root beer...Exotic fruit flavors like orange mango and diet pink grapefruit...Energy drink, sparkling iced teas and cocktail mixers. Each bottle of sodamix makes about 12 liters of soda (about 33 cans!) for around 25 cents per 12-ounce can.
The bottles are specially designed for Soda Stream’s makers and they are reusable and can last up to 2 years!
Soda Stream is Earth Friendly!
SodaStream is an "Active Green" product, meaning that consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint every time they make soda or sparkling water at home instead of buying it from the store.
I received the Fountain Jet from Soda Stream to review. You know how I mentioned that I don’t like to give my kids soda? Well Soda Stream has that covered as well with their new line of all-natural soda mixes! The Sparkling Naturals line is great because you don’t have to feel bad about giving your kids the occasional soda, but what’s even better is that it’s all natural, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners, and no preservatives! The Sparkling Naturals line feature four yummy flavors; Pink Grapefruit, Lemon Lime, Apple Mango, and Orange Pineapple. We chose Orange Pineapple and Apple Mango for our review and they were both very popular with my kids and my husband and I as well.
If you’re looking for an at home soda maker I definitely recommend that you check out Soda Stream! If you are currently a Soda Stream user and haven’t tried Sparkling Naturals you must check them out!
The Fountain Jet (or any of the Soda Stream makers) makes a perfect holiday gift for the soda lover on your list! Also make sure you check out MIBR 2010 Holiday Gift Guide for great gift ideas for the whole family!

The Swiss Colony is a company that I have loved for years; known for their excellent quality and timeless appeal, Swiss Colony is a staple for many of us during the holidays and year round. I remember snagging my moms Swiss Colony catalog when I was younger and drooling over the Petits Fours and cheese and sausage gift baskets. Though much has changed since then for Swiss Colony (adding a website for one) much has stayed the same, including their amazing selection of gift baskets and yummy treats! For those of you have not had the privilege of getting to know Swiss Colony, let me be the first to introduce you!
Tucked in the hills of beautiful Monroe, Wisconsin, The Swiss Colony began in the entrepreneurial spirit of a young Ray Kubly. A smart, enterprising student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Ray wrote up an advertising campaign that detailed a business that sold cheese by mail.
After graduating, Ray took his class project and began to mold it into reality from the basement of his home in Monroe. In 1926, he mailed out handbills, which he himself designed and stamped, that advertised cuts of Wisconsin-made bulk cheeses. As orders came in, he cut the huge wheels of cheese into pieces, and wrapped and shipped them. In his first year of business, he sold all 50 packages of cheese that he had prepared.
Through the 1940s and 50s, interest in the company increased, and so did its size and profits. In 1954, Ray Kubly incorporated The Swiss Colony from the enterprise begun in his basement. Through all these years, Ray worked a regular day job outside The Swiss Colony until 1961, when he was finally able to focus full–time on his own company. Since then, The Swiss Colony and its affiliated businesses have grown by leaps and bounds, from cheese and food gifts to general merchandise encompassing several different brands.
I recently had the chance to review something from The Swiss Colony and let me just say that diet was not a word in my vocabulary for a few days! We received the Jolly Wink Santa Cake for our review. Now when I tell you that I literally had to stop a fight from breaking out in the middle of my kitchen over this cake, I am completely serious. Both of my oldest daughter earned themselves a time-out arguing over who was going to get the first piece of cake (kid you not ladies and gentlemen) and in case you’re wondering, I got the first piece sometimes it is SO cool being mom! Anyway when the cake arrived our adorably yummy Santa was packed up nice and tight so nothing happened during shipping and aside from a small crack on the surface of the cake, all was well.
Here’s a description of the cake from The Swiss Colony website:
Our skilled pastry elves fluff him up with layer upon layer of tender white cake and frothy chocolate butter creme. Then they carefully dress him all over with coats of luscious Swiss creme. Fine details are applied by hand with icing, and his famous whiskers are whipped up with delectable frosting. A visit from this St. Nick will surely be an unforgettable feast of joys.
12 DAYS OF PRIZE GIVING VALUED AT OVER $2,600!
Faithful friends like you have helped make The Swiss Colony a shining star through the years. So we’d like to show our thanks with sweepstakes prizes that celebrate the spirit of sharing!
And here is their super yummy prize list!
I also have a very yummy prize for one of my lovely (and I hope hungry) readers! The Swiss Colony is giving one of my readers their choice of any item on their website ($30 or less)! How’s that for putting you in the holiday spirit?

One of my absolute favorite things to do is taking pictures of my kids. I’m sure I get on their nerves with my constant, “Alright, hold that post!” and “Just one more time…now say cheese!” but it’s an obsession and one that I take great pleasure in. Since owning a digital camera (for years and years) I find myself not having prints made as often as I used to, maybe it’s just the convenience of sharing my photos on Facebook or Flickr, but I have become lazy when it comes to making paper copies of my babies pictures. This laziness was never more evident than when I got out some old photo albums recently to reminisce with my girls, I realized that I had TONS of photos of my oldest daughters, but only a small handful of the babies. As much I miss having copies of their photos I don’t miss having to to deal with acquiring them, but the problem still remained that I didn’t have photos of my babies. An even bigger problem is that my mother doesn’t always have access to the internet so she never gets to see pictures of her grandbabies…I hate that she feels left out, but I also dislike having to go through the motions of ordering prints for her.
Recently I found a company that makes sharing your photos a unique, thoughtful, and easy thing to do…LuLu.com. At Lulu you can self publish and print your own books, photo books, ebooks, recipe books, calendars—you name it, you can probably make it at Lulu! Did I mention you can sell your books too? With Lulu you can choose the size of your book, pick a theme from one of their many options, choose your layout, upload your pictures, personalize your books and viola you’re finished. It really is a very easy way to share your photos.
I had the opportunity to publish a photo book from Lulu.com a few weeks ago for my review. First off I must say that the prices are VERY fair, the finished product is gorgeous and makes an incredible gift for almost anyone and any occasion! I registered at Lulu.com and within a few minutes I was uploading and arranging photos in my book. I choose a 8.5 x 11 inch hardcover book for my review. I got to choose the layout, picture orientation, and personalization of the pages…I really felt that I had full creative control over my book. Of course, I chose to do a photo book starring my family, but the possibilities with Lulu are endless! I couldn’t help thinking as I was constructing my book that this would be the perfect gift for my mom who misses out on quite a few special moments with my kiddies!
