One of my goals this year is to get back in shape!
I’ve spent the last three years since my youngest daughter was born saying that I’m going to get in shape and lose some of this baby weight, without actually getting up and doing it! So, 2012 is my year—I think!
I know I’m not the only one whose goal for 2012 is too lose some weight and bring some of that sexy back—so I can’t wait to share this review and giveaway with all of you!

In life there are far too many things to be down about so why not take a little time each day to make someone smile? Alright how’s that for vague? One thing that always makes me smile is reading something funny on someone’s tee shirt, I mean it can be funny, silly, or plain stupid and I’m cracking a smile.
I was recently introduced to Snorg Tees, haven’t heard of them? Well no worries I’m gonna tell you all about them…and hopefully show you a few things that will make you smile! Since my girls were old enough to know what pets were they’ve always begged me for one, of course we’ve had dogs and cats but they were always outside animals and not at all what my girls had in mind. For the past two years my middle daughter Savanna has begged me for a hamster, and for the past two years I’ve told her “no” more times than I can count! I’ve promised that child for the longest time that I’d find her something better than a hamster and until recently I hadn’t come through, and she was sure to let me know as much!
Imagine my surprise when Mom Select told me that I had been chosen to do a review and giveaway for Zhu Zhu Pets. What are Zhu Zhu Pets you ask? Well they are cute, furry, interactive hamsters! From the moment the UPS truck arrived with our box of Zhu Zhu Pets my children were in heaven. Not only does my middle daughter Savanna (she’s 7) loves playing with her Zhu Zhu Pet (Chunk) and it’s habitats so do my two youngest children. My youngest daughter Ki Ki gets the biggest kick out of watching the hamster scurry across the floor. I do have to admit that watching Chunk (that’s the Zhu Zhu Pet by the way not my daughter) ride around in her little hamster car is quite a sight! Savanna really enjoys the feeling of having a pet that she can interact with and I enjoy knowing that her cute and furry friend isn’t going to require any more attention from me than the occasion battery change!

I can't believe it's already Day 7 in our Fun in the Sun Summer blog party. I hope you've had a chance to check out all of the great giveaways here and over at Running Away? I'll Help you Pack. I thought we would mix it up a little bit today and just do a review and get back to the giveaways on Monday!My son lives to play outside, every morning when he wakes up he walks to the gate by the front door and says, "Outside Mommy!" Since summertime here in Ohio is nothing if not scorching I always worry that my kids will get too hot while they play outside. Finding toys that are fun and will keep my babies cool on a sweltering summer day is a must for me.
I have always been a big fan of Step 2 and their great children's products, they are one of my go to brands. The Step 2 family of products offer affordability, great craftsmanship, and loads of fun. The Step 2 product that my family received to review was the Arctic Splash Water Table and let me just say that my son was thrilled when it arrived at our house and even more thrilled when we put it together and filled it with water for the first time. The Arctic Splash water table was very easy to put together my fiance spent maybe 5 minutes total putting the water table together. Some of the features of the Arctic Splash water table include:
- Multi-level water wells.
- Raised design which keeps your kiddos feet dry.
- Includes an ice castle, ice slide, tunnel, and dumping bucket.
- Very cute animal squirt toys (a penguin, a walrus, and a polar bear).
Gaige asks me every day to "Pay table" which when translated means "Mom I wanna play with my water table." He could spend hours splashing and playing with the dumping bucket and so could my other children as all four of them have splashed around on the table a time or two. There was one thing that I wished was a little different about the Arctic Splash water table and that is that the Ice Castle, while adorable and lots of fun to play with, it does not hook on to the water table which means that my son spent more time knocking it over than he actually did playing with it. Overall the Arctic Splash water table is an excellent summertime toy perfect for kids of all ages!

Turning 30 has made me see so many things in a completely different light! Take for instance the wrinkles that I was convinced I would never get...um well I'm starting to get them. Nothing really hideous or even noticeable to anyone else but when I look in the mirror I'm just convinced that they get worse as I stand there. I've always been convinced that I would never get old, like when my fiance talks about us sitting on the porch swing watching our grand kids play when we're say 60 I'm like, "Huh...who me? Never!" Not because I don't want to grow old but because I am terrified of looking old.
Now I have never been one to try to reverse the aging process (mostly because I still get mistaken for twenty something) but after I saw that first wrinkle I was all about getting rid of it (is that even possible)? Anyway about a month ago I was given the opportunity to review In an Instant by Heidi Klum and I have to admit that at first I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. First let me tell you a little bit about In an Instant. When I first started using In an Instant I was a little disappointed that I did not see instant results, there were still lines though fine they were still visible. I've been using In an Instant for several weeks now and the fine lines around my eyes are so much less visible. In the summer there's nothing my kids love more than to play in the water. Whether they are swimming or squirting each other with the water hose it seems they are always getting wet. Unfortunately my children also suffer from horrible ear problems which tend to put a damper on some of their fun.
When I found out about ClearEars I knew that it was a product I needed to try. ClearEars is not like traditional earplugs they are not used while you swim, instead you put them into your ears after swimming to draw out any water that may be trapped. ClearEars are made of an FDA approved polymer that is soft and comfortable. They are super easy to use and work to remove trapped water in minutes! They are also eco-friendly as they can be cut up after use and sprinkled into flower beds to help the soil maintain moisture!
The first opportunity I had to try out ClearEars was on my son after a day of water play with his cousins. Gaige (my son) is notorious for getting water trapped in his ears which almost always leads to an ear infection. After about an hour of playing in his kiddie pool last weekend IU noticed that Gaige was sticking his fingers in his ears, a tell-tale sign that something' is not right. I remembered that I hadn't had a chance to use the clear ears yet so I ran and grabbed them and scooped Gaige up to see how well they worked. First I have to say that my son hates to have his ears messed with (not a hard thing to image given as many ear infections as he has had) but I rolled the ClearEars earplugs between my fingers and effortlessly placed them into his ears, I'm actually not even sure he knew they were there. Of course I let him run around and play (the whole time he left the ear plugs in) and after about 10 minutes I removed the earplugs. The ClearEars seemed to work as he didn't pull or pick at his ears after I removed the earplugs...they probably saved him from having a nasty ear infection. The one thing I noticed about the product that I wish was different was the fact that each set of ClearEars earplugs are designed to be used only once and with 5 pair priced at $6.99 they could get a little pricey. Overall I loved ClearEars and would definitely purchase them! ClearEars can be purchased online at Cirrus Health Care and at all major retailers.
I just had to add that we spent today at our local amusement park Kings Island and of course the kids had to visit Boomerang Bay (the theme park's water park). I used ClearEars on all of the kids after swimming with great results!

If there is one thing my son loves it's backpacks (I have Dora and Diego to thank for that). He tries all the time to carry Taylor and Savanna's backpacks around but to no avail and I see the sad look in his eyes every single time he tries and fails to pick them up. I've looked into buying him his own backpack but most of the ones I've come across are either plastic (yuck) or they are way too big for him.

I am always on the lookout for new products for my kids and it's become an obsession to find only the safest most natural products for them. With more and more companies introducing "Eco-friendly" and "natural" alternatives to their original products it's becoming more difficult to sort out the good from the hype.
I heard about Kiss My Face from one of my friends a while back but never really gave the company a second thought. Of course this was before I really committed myself to being more green in all aspects of my life. Kiss My Face Kids is free of artificial colors, fragrances, parabens, and SLS. My kids received the entire kids line to try out and boy did they have a great time reviewing these products. Overall I really was impressed with the way the products worked, they got my babies squeaky clean and they had fun getting that way, which is very unusual. They especially loved the Walter the Whale soap which is actually shaped like a whale (so cute). I was most impressed by the 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner my fiance and I both couldn't believe how soft Gaige's hair was after we washed his hair with it!

As my son gets older I notice his need for educational stimulation more and more when it comes to the movies and television shows that he watches. d education but the one brand that never fails to fulfill both needs is LeapFrog. So when I was asked to review one of the LeapFrog DVDs I jumped at the chance!Starting May 12 Lionsgate is teaming up with Leapfrog to release two of their best selling titles, LeapFrog Letter Factory and LeapFrog Talking Words Factory. The LeapFrog brand is known for producing high quality, entertaining, and educational products for children and these DVD's combine music and stories to help children become excited about learning to read. Both titles are available today and retail for $14.98 each.
We were able to review the LeapFrog Letter Factory which teaches
letters, phonics, and listening skills. The popular Leap, Lily, and Tad (we love Tad at our house) have a crazy adventure in the Letter Factory and its non stop energy from beginning to end! I was amazed at how quickly Gaige picked up on the songs and started saying the letters. Of course I was very pleased that everything was set to music because Gaige won't usually pay attention to a television show or movie unless there is music and singing. Overall we were very pleased with the LeapFrog Letter Factory my son laughed, sang, danced, and best of all learned several letters of the alphabet that I have been having a difficult time teaching him. So if you're looking for a great DVD that's both fun and educational I would absolutely suggest this title!
