If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love to shop!  While shopping for clothes for myself is always my idea of a good time, I also love to shop for clothes for my little ones!  And since I live to find cool new places online to shop and share them with all of you, I thought I'd take a minute and share an awesome online clothing store for kids that I recently came across...Two Blossom Lane!

When I'm shopping for clothes for my children, especially Lil Man and Lil Diva, I am all about finding unique and funky clothes that I love and they'll wear, that not everyone on the playground has hanging in their closet, which is very hard to do when you live in a teeny, tiny little town with no place to shop.  One of the reasons I like shopping online so much is because it gives me the option of finding pieces that are not always readily available in my area, but also because every once in a while I come across such a unique place that I can't help but share!  Two Blossom Lane is not your run of the mill clothing store, the pieces are chosen with "quality, function and individuality in mind" and its entire premise is to offer parents an alternative to mass chain stores...I love that!

Two Blossom Lane features Australian and International designers like Bebe, Fox & Finch,
Cheeky Little Soles, Rufflebutts and many more and their sizes range from newborn (0) up to size 6...perfect for my two littlest kiddos!  Alright, enough talking, I have to show you one of my favorite pieces from their current collections!

Seriously though, is the cloud baseball tee not the cutest thing you've ever seen?  I can so see Lil Diva rocking that with a cute pair of colorful skinny jeans or skirt.  Honestly, I love online clothing stores that get it right and offer us Moms and Dads something different and Two Blossom Lane definitely does that!  If you're looking for kids clothes that are unique, funky and not the same thing that all the kids in the neighborhood have then you should definitely visit Two Blossom Lane online for kids fashion!

I love clothes shopping and if there’s one thing I love more than shopping for clothes for myself, it’s clothes shopping for my kiddos!  One of my all-time favorite places to shop for super cute, super affordable kids clothing is Gymboree.   Recently I had the chance to choose a few items from the Gymboree Spring 2013 collection to review and I couldn’t wait to see what Gymboree had in store.

WARNING:  Major cuteness ahead!

If you’re familiar with Gymboree then you know how adorable, affordable and addicting their clothes can be and I know that I’m not the only mom who feels that way…right?  For those of you who might not be familiar with Gymboree, here’s a little more about the brand and a little insight into their inspiration.

Gymboree is all about designing children’s clothes that are perfect for exploring, learning, and allowing kids to be kids and that playful, adventurous attitude definitely comes through in their clothing.  From the high-quality mix-and-match outfits and fun patterns, to the ultra coordinating accessories to match those outfits, you’ll definitely find something at Gymboree that matches your child’s personality, without breaking the bank!

As I mentioned before, I recently had the chance to work with Gymboree (and one of my very favorite PR individuals)  to review some items from their Spring 2013 collection and I really couldn’t wait to chose the perfect outfits for Lil Man and Lil Diva.  One of my favorite things about Gymboree is the selection; there is so much to choose from for boys and girls and the collections are so fresh and fun and full of vibrant colors and adorable themes that you’ll find yourself wanting one of everything—at least that’s how I usually feel.

Lil Diva is a fashionista in every sense of the word so I knew finding just the right outfit to match her personality was key and it didn’t take long for me to find the Bow Dot Stripe Skort (part of the Rainbow Cabana collection)and start building an outfit.  I love the Bow Dot Stripe skort ($20.99) because it’s fun and playful and full of personality, just like Lil Diva and Lil Diva loves it because, well, she happens to adore skorts.  I wanted to choose a shirt that had personality and fun, vibrant colors, but that was a little less busy than the skort and the Sequin Sunshine Ruffle Tank ($14.49) was perfect.  To pull the look together I added the Flower Stripe flip flop in Flamingo Pink ($16.95), (Lil Diva loves the corsage bloom on the top of each flip flop) and the results were definitely Lil Diva approved!

Lil Man is a whole lot less worried about fashion than Lil Diva, but every once in a while I can get him to trade in his basketball shorts and tennis shoes for a nice polo shirt and plaid shorts.  For Lil Man I was torn between two distinctly different collections, I loved the Gone Surfin’ collection, but the Baseball Champ collection was so his style, so I decided to chose my favorite outfit from each collection to review.  The Gone Surfin’ collection from the Gymboree spring 2013 line is surfer chic with a preppy flair (at least that’s what I call it) and I thought it was a perfect fit for Lil Man’s laid back attitude.  The Surf Blue, Surf More Sleep Less tee ($12.99) combined with the Papaya Orange Drawstring Plaid Cargo short ($20.99) is, in my opinion, the perfect spring/summer outfit; it’s super chill, with a little bit of a preppy edge—love it!  While Lil Man doesn’t really know much about the surfer lifestyle in real life, he does know quite a bit about baseball and the Baseball Champ collection is full of looks that are sure to be a hit with your little slugger!  I loved the Baseball Player Pique Polo Shirt in Ballpark Blue ($9.49), paired with the Drawstring Cargo Short in Ballpark Blue Plaid  ($14.49) were a perfect combination and Lil Man agreed, it was his favorite of the two outfits.  He cleans up pretty darn well if I do say so myself!

Gymboree-Spring-Boys

Of course, these collections are just a few of the many collections in the Gymboree Spring 2013 line, so you’ll find the perfect collection to match your child’s personality at great prices—it’s a win—win!  Don’t forget, it’s Gymbuck$ time—Save $25 on every $50 you spend now through April 21 with Gymbuck$ and get FREE shipping at Gymboree on orders over $75!  Make sure you check out the entire spring 2013 collection at Gymboree, you’ll be so glad you did!

Alright moms and dads, Pop Quiz!
What’s the most important part of the whole back-to-school shopping process?  The clothes of course!  tea-collection-logo

I’m a major shopaholic, or I used to be anyway—lack of funds nips excess over-shopping in the bud real quick, and my one true weakness is new clothes.  Unfortunately for me, all four of my children have followed in my footsteps when it comes to loving clothes, and shopping for new clothes for back-to-school is always the highlight of their summer break.  To be honest, they’re not the only ones who love shopping for new school clothes, so do I and even though the clothes might not happen to be for me, I still love every second of it.  Of course, I couldn’t talk about shopping for clothing for my kiddos without mentioning one of my all-time favorite places to find adorable, quality, unique kids clothes…Tea!

If you’ve been a reader here for a while, then you probably already know about my love obsession with Tea Collection for my kids, seriously, I adore this place—maybe a little more than I should given my penchant for overspending, oh well, we’ll just not tell my husband.  Moving on, I love that Tea gathers inspiration from around the world and fashions that inspiration into some of the cutest children’s clothing I’ve ever seen.  I get super excited each and every time I get a catalog in the mail, I’m always waiting to see what part of the world they’ve traveled to this time, so it only makes sense that Tea’s Nordic Design page, a place I can go to find out more about the current collection and why Tea traveled to Scandinavia for inspiration!  So given my very deep love for Tea I couldn’t do a back-ttea-6o-school feature without mentioning them and the best part about mentioning them in my feature…new clothes to review of course!
If you’ve never heard of Tea, you have no idea what you’re missing; between their adorable, durable clothing and the passion and love that goes into building each collection…Tea remains a go-to brand when I’m in need of something unique and amazing and they’ve never let me down!   Though I’ve always enjoyed all of the collections from Tea, their Fall 2012 line is by far my favorite!  The Fall 2012 collection was inspired by the “eye-pooping colors”,”bold florals” and the hoards of bikes traveling down cobblestone streets that they (the inspiration  experience in their travels to Denmark, Sweden and Finland.  I think Tea’s own words best sum up their inspiration…”to us, the best Nordic design combines a clean and modern feeling with the charm of handmade crafts”…I don’t think I could have said it any better myself.

The amazing rep at Tea, she’s seriously one of my favorites, gave me a gift code to go shopping for the items I wanted to review…this is always my favorite part of the review.  Since Lil Man started kindergarten this past week, I decided that he would be the perfect kiddo to model some of Tea’s Fall 2012 collection for my review.   Of course, that gave way to Lil Diva demanding that she also “pick something cute” and if you know Lil Diva, then you also know that she doesn’t handle not getting her way with as much poise as I’d like, so to save a meltdown, I opted to let the Diva choose a couple of things as well…it really was the only way.  As much as I love browsing the Tea website, it often makes it extremely hard for me to stay within budget, but I somehow managed to choose only 4 items for Lil Man and Lil Diva to review—it was SO hard since everything is so darn cute.

Since I very much believe that chivalry isn’t entirely dead, I’ll share with all of you Lil Diva’s choices first.   Being the fashionista that she is, this girl knows her stuff, she immediately loved the Cycle Chic Tee and begged for me to choose it for her.  I must admit, she definitely has good taste, the Cycle Chic Tee is definitely my favorite tee from the Fall 2012 line and possibly my favorite Tea tee ever—I love this top, it’s too cute!  The Copenhagen inspired colors and graphics give this tee a whimsical, playful, peaceful feel that I adored the moment I laid eyes on it.  I also chose the Aurinko Flower Stripe Top for Lil Diva, I love the blues and the flower adds a pop of color that doesn’t overwhelm the stripes, but accentuates them…well done Tea, well done.

Lil Man is the polar opposite of Lil Diva when it comes to clothing, while she loves clothes and shopping and trying on different outfits, he sees clothing as optional, unless putting them on means that he’s going to get to go outside and play, so getting him to choose a couple of items for me to review was a challenge.  I finally settled on two of my favorites from the boys clothing line and as soon as they arrived Lil Man changed his tune and couldn’t wait to try on the Bjorn-bot Layered Tee.  I chose the Bjorn-bot tee for Lil Man because I thought the yellow matched his vibrant and warm personality to a, well…tee (sorry, it was necessary) and Lil Man loved the tee because of the super cool robot the adorns the front  a definite win-win for me.  I also chose the Bali Rocks Tee for my son because I loved the color and I knew that the dragon graphic on the front would be a big hit with Lil Man…I was so right, he loves it!

If you’ve never heard of Tea, or if it’s been a while since you took a second to browse their site, I definitely encourage you to check them out…you’ll love the Fall 2012 collections for boys and girls!  You can also check out Tea on Facebook to find out the scoop on Tea!

Happy shopping!

We love The Children’s Place, it just happens to be one of my favorite stores for shopping for my children.  Although there are a million reasons why I love it, from the adorable window displays (yes, I’m a dork) to the incredible value and amazing quality the only reason I really need to shop there is that my kids love the clothes!

No matter the time of year I can always find age appropriate clothes for my 3 youngest children and I always manage to leave the store without feeling like I’ve spent a fortune!  I’m really loving their outwear right now, Puffer jackets for less than $50 and 3-in-1 jackets for less than $60…now that’s a deal worth repeating!  I must admit that I also truly adore their Holiday 2010 Dressy collection, the Sugar Plum Fairy collection of dresses and accessories are absolutely fabulous and perfect for all of the holiday parties!
