When you have a family as big as mine, it’s essential to save money every chance I get and the one area that it’s always a challenge is feeding the family. Feeding eight people every day can get very expensive so I’m always looking for ways to help ease some of the financial burden on myself and my husband. Though I’m not completely loyal to one grocery store over another, I do love going to Kroger when they have awesome deals going on—like their Buy 5—Save $5 event that’s coming up in a couple of weeks!

Some of the kids favorite afterschool snacks (Totino;s Party Pizza and Yoplait yogurt) are part of the Buy 5—Save $5 deals as is something we go through a lot of around here….cereal. General Mills is definitely one of our favorites when it comes to cereal and they have great deals on kids favorites during the Buy5—Save $5 event! I can’t tell you how much I love hitting sales with like this one, it helps me stock up on some much needed basics and even leaves a little room in the budget for some of the kids favorite snacks…it’s a win—win!

Having seven people in my house (eight now that my step-son has come to live with us) means that I visit the grocery store often and since I do have such a large family, saving money is always on my mind when I shop for groceries! One of my favorite places to shop for groceries is Kroger and when the Cart Buster Savings event is going on I’m there!

One of my favorite places to shop for great deals is Kroger! No matter when I go I always find some hot deal that makes my shopping trip even greater than the one before!

I’ve been an on again, off again fan of the biggest loser for a while now. I find myself completely drawn in to the stories of the contestants and the amazing weight loses they achieve. Not only do I find their stories and struggles inspiring I always feel compelled to do more after watching an episode…so I am with the Kroger Pound for Pound Challenge! 
“The Kroger Co. Family of Stores, General Mills, NBC's hit TV Show "The Biggest Loser" and other key sponsors are partnering to donate up to $1,080,000 to Feeding America this year.” Helping these amazing sponsors reach their goal is easy…through June 30th you can visit the Pound For Pound website and make a pledge to lose weight (and help out your local food bank in the process!). For every pound you pledge to lose, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 14 cents to Feeding America enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank.
Since I find myself so inspired by the biggest loser and since this is such a great cause I decided to pledge to lose weight along with millions of others! So I know you want to know how much I pledged to lose and how I plan to lose it…right? Well thanks to Kroger (the official supplier of the Biggest Loser Ranch and partner for the Pound for Pound Challenge) I will be purchasing some of the General Mills products featured on the show with the $30 Kroger Gift Cards they provided to me as participation in this campaign. The products, including Yoplait Greek yogurt, Total, and Multigrain Cheerios, are available at local Kroger stores and will be a huge factor in helping me stick to my weight lose goals. I’m really excited about losing the weight and being part of such an awesome cause!
Help Out: I really want to urge all of you to go over to the Pound for Pound website and pledge to lose and help your local food bank! It’s such a quick and easy way to help those in need!
