Misadventures in Baby Raising: Ice cream

It’s summer and when it’s hot and humid and the sun is blazing there’s really only one sweet treat that will do…ice cream! I am not normally a fan of ice cream (I know it’s shocking) but when in the summertime it’s the only sweet treat I reach for again and again! My husband and my children on the other hand are BIG time ice cream lovers and though we don’t always agree on everything, oh who am I kidding we rarely agree on anything, we all agree that the best ice cream brand hands down is Blue Bunny!

Blue Bunny has been one of our family’s favorite ice cream brands for a while now and it never lasts long at our house! Our favorite Blue Bunny offering has always been their Original Bomb Pop and they are always a big hit with our crowd! Recently I was given the opportunity to review a few of the NEW Blue Bunny frozen treats and you don’t say no to ice cream…right?

We were sent 3 of Blue Bunny’s newest frozen treats: Champ!® Mini Swirls Birthday Party Ice Cream Cones, Champ!® Mini Swirls Vanilla Ice Cream Cones, and Mini Variety Ice Cream Sandwiches. I swear to you my children stalked UPS, FedEx, and the mailman for a week as soon as they found out that we would be receiving treats from Blue Bunny and it was like Christmas in July for them when the package arrived, it was seriously all I could do to get them into the freezer. I wanted to make sure that everyone in the house got to sample all 3 of the treats so that I had a wide range of opinions on how yummy they were, so I decided that we should try the Champ! Mini Swirls Birthday Party Ice Cream Cones first. I cannot even begin to explain to you how amazing these little gems are…seriously they are SO addictive. My children loved the Mini Swirls Birthday Party Ice Cream Cones, but my husband was like a kid in an ice cream shop every single time he unwrapped one, as a matter of fact, he sent me to the store the second the box was empty to find more! I think we definitely found a new family favorite!

Of course the Mini Swirls Vanilla Cones were just as yummy and were devoured almost as quickly. The mini swirl vanilla cones remind me of the dipped cones I used to enjoy as a kid, only so much better!

My personal favorite of the three however, was the Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches, ice cream sandwiches are usually my frozen treat of choice and these did not disappoint. I loved that they were miniature (it helps you feel less guilty about indulging) and the chocolate on chocolate was a very yummy surprise!
