If there's one holiday around here that we all get excited about, it's Halloween.  And while the ghosts and goblins and Snickers caramel apples are some of our favorite parts of Halloween, the candy's where it's at!

While we may be all about the candy, we do have our favorites and one of them is Mike and Ike (yay for the Mike and Ike reunion....right?).  To continue to celebrate the reunion of the dynamic duo, Just Born Confections is releasing two Halloween themed editions of the iconic Mike and Ike fruity, chewy candy.  Mike and Ike Mummy's Mix and the new Mike and Ike Vampire Variety are perfect for all trick-to-theaters this Halloween!

About Mike and Ike Halloween Themed Mixes

Mummy's Mix contains the great tastes of Lemon, Orange, Grape, Lime and Raspberry (all containing real fruit juice) and the Vampire Variety mix contains Cherry, Raspberry, Grape, Watermelon and Fruit Punch.  Both Halloween flavors are available in different sizes and can be found in supermarkets, mass market retailers and drug stores nationwide this Halloween season.

"Don't be afraid to try the new Mike and Ike Halloween varieties!  The Halloween candy is perfect for ghosts and ghouls of all ages!"

We were lucky enough to snag a few samples of the Mike and Ike Halloween varieties recently, this made my kiddos very happy (and just a little bit hyper as well).  While all candy is great according to my kids, I happen to take my candy very seriously and I am a stickler for the traditional mixes, of which the original Mike and Ike happens to be one of my favorites.  I wasn't sure how I'd like the Halloween varieties, but much to my surprise (and enjoyment) I really liked them both, though I do believe that I am a little partial to the Vampire Variety (who wouldn't love all the red?).  If you're a fan of the original Mike and Ike, I'd definitely suggest trying their new Halloween varieties and while you're at it, make sure you pick up a few bags for the trick-or-treaters and yours will be the house that everyone wants to hit on Halloween night...on second thought, maybe you should just sit inside with the lights off an keep all the Mike and Ike for yourself.
