Alright ladies, it’s that time of year, well actually it’s almost the day, you know what I’m talking about—the day we get to see what our husbands have bought us for Christmas.  Now if you’re like me, you give a detailed list (including size, color, store and price…what? I do not trust mine to do it on his own) so that there is absolutely no way you end up with a vacuum cleaner, well unless it’s one of the Miele Vacuum cleaners, I would be perfectly alight with that!  Or you can bypass the gift giving process all together and just request money, I think my husband was tired of seeing me fake a smile on Christmas so he got smart and just gave me money—hey, it works for me!

Of course, we all know that Christmas isn’t about  the gifts so we shouldn’t really be annoyed if we happen to open a new can opener instead of a diamond necklace, but if you ask most women, they’re going to tell you that Christmas may not be about the presents, but darned if we don’t want our husbands to get it right…for once.  Now I’m not saying that all men get it wrong, because there are some men who always get it oh-so-right, but the rest of you, well, let’s just say that you could definitely use some pointers, maybe check out a few of us blogger’s holiday gift guides for some inspiration…just a thought.

Seriously though, whether the man or woman in your life gets it right or not, I think we can all agree that this time of year, this season, is a time for giving and whether you’re giving something special to those in your life or you’re choosing to give back and help where help is needed, I hope you do so with the spirit of the season in your heart…and a whole lot of patience for the bad gift giver in your life.

Happy Holidays!
