One of the best things about starting college in my late twenties was that I did not have to go away to college and live on campus (the thought of that terrified me).  That said, there are many, many students all over the country packing their belongings and heading off to their dorms and campus housing as we speak! 

 

Aside from the usual worries and fears of going away to college; new people, new surrounding, lots of work there are also things as simple as missing your old room.  Thankfully I have many years before I encounter any of these issues with my children, but it’s never too early to start thinking of ways to make going away to college easier on your child. We recently had the chance to work with Beyond Bedding and I couldn’t be more stoked about it!  My oldest daughter has been asking for a new bedding set for a while and I have been trying to get her to wait until Christmas, so this review couldn’t have come at a better time!

 

 

 

We chose the Hot Pink, Black and White Funky Zebra set for Taylor’s bed (fyi—there’s also the matching and absolutely adorable Pink and Black Baby Bedding that is just too cute for words). 

JoJo Designs Zebra Print Full/Queen Bedding Ensemble will set your child up in high style. This funky and modern pink zebra print bedding set uses a collection of oh so soft micro suede fabrics including...black and white zebra print, bright hot pink, and solid black. This set will create a stylish room that your little one is sure to enjoy. The bedding set that Taylor chose included a comforter, 1 pillow sham, bed skirt and window valance.   It wasn’t an easy choice for her as all of the teen bedding is beyond adorable, but in the end she went with her love of zebra stripes!  I’m not sure what I expected from the bedding before it arrived, I suppose I almost expected it  to be similar to the popular bed in a bag sets that you can pick up at your local supercenter—boy was I wrong!  When Taylor’s bedding set arrived and I opened the packaging (which was also fabulous) I couldn’t believe the quality, the bedding was very well made, softer than I ever imagined it would be and even more adorable than the photo on the website!  Taylor was more than thrilled with her new bedding set and promptly took photos of it to text to all of her friends—I think that means she approved!  I told Taylor that if she took good care of her bedding set (the comforter in particular) that it may even still be around when she heads off to college, that would be an amazing way to remind her of home and her old bedroom, I’m interested in seeing how far the set makes it and based on it’s quality I don’t think college is completely out of the question.
