I, like many people, grew up without my real father in the picture.  The time I did spend with my father was infrequent and honestly not many “memories” were made.  I did reconnect with my father when my oldest daughter was born, but even after that our relationship has been strained at best.  I did however have a dad in my life, my step-father, who from the time I was 10 made sure I had a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food in my belly, and a shoulder to cry on!  My step-father has always been there when I needed him and to this day he is the only man I’ve ever considered worthy enough to call dad.
