Care Bears DVD Giveaway {2 Winners}

I’ve mentioned my love of retro characters before—one group of characters from my past that has made a huge comeback in recent years also happens to be one of my favorites…Care Bears!  I can still remember like it was yesterday the love I had for my TenderHeart Bear and to this day my face lights up in a nostalgic smile whenever I see the cartoon or glimpse one of my children lugging around their revamped replicas. 

As much I know that sharing my love of the original Care Bears shows my age, I also know that it doesn’t bother me (much) because my love for the cute and cuddly creatures has carried over and now my children are also big fans of the Care Bears.  Whenever they notice a bear they hadn’t seen before or find out a new DVD has come out they are quick to start with the “Mommy I want that!” whine and how can I resist when deep down I want to snuggle with them in front of the television and drift back to childhood for a little while myself? 

Much to my children’s (alright and mine as well) surprise the Care Bears have a new DVD out and of course, I was quick to say “Why yes, we would love to review it.”  Share-A-Lot in Care-A-Lot hit stores last month and features 8 never before seen episodes of the Care Bears and their friends spreading their message of love and caring throughout the land of Care-A-Lot.  “Whether it’s the Care Bears welcoming Grizzle, Share Bear helping Harmony overcome her fears on Surprise Day, or McKenna learning the joys of giving at a Giving Party, the Care Bears discover that warmth and kindness bring friendship and fun!”

One of the reasons that I love the Care Bears so much is because they help my children, especially my youngest children, understand the importance of helping and being kind to others.  After my youngest children have watched an episode of the Care Bears they walk around and look for ways to help each other…to me that beats my best lessons on helping others!  As expected 3 of my 4 children sit and watched Share-A-Lot in Care-A-Lot attentively and seemed to really enjoy the stories and adventures of the Care Bears and their friends!
