I have to admit that when I’m in need of an alternative to my pricey facial cleanser I reach for the baby soap.  Not only is it hypoallergenic and doesn’t bother my sensitive skin, it’s a lot more affordable than pricey specialty cleaners and serves many more purposes as well.  One brand that I always choose for my children but very much enjoy myself is Baby Magic.

With the economy as it is, it only makes sense to stretch every dollar and sometimes finding products that can pull double duty is a great way to save.  Baby Magic’s products are great at doing double duty and saving you money!  We had the chance recently to review several products from Baby Magic and I decided to put them to the test both in their traditional uses as well as the suggested alternative uses.

The first product that we reviewed was the Baby Magic Creamy Baby Oil.   384932742095E3F_ImageMedium

Enriched with vitamins and aloe, this unique blend of lotion and oils help to soften and seal in the natural moisture that can be lacking in adult skin after exposure to the sun.  Gentle emollients help remove makeup and offer all day moisture.  The hypoallergenic formula is mild enough for sensitive skin, which makes it perfect.

I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of baby oil, but I love the way this creamy baby oil makes my babies skin so soft and for so much longer than regular lotions.  Baby Magic suggests an alternative use for the creamy baby oil as a makeup remover and I have to say that this is a makeup trick I have used for years; in my opinion nothing takes off makeup (and softens the skin at the same time) better then baby oil, the fact that it’s creamy makes it even better.

Next we reviewed the Gentle Hair and Body Wash. 385162744402FMG_ImageMedium

This gentle hair and body wash, which doubles as a mild facial cleanser, replenishes natural moisture as it removes excess dirt and oil.

Baby Magic suggests using the Gentle Hair and Body wash as a makeup remover as well as a mild facial cleanser and I have to again admit that I’ve done both in the past.  I love the fact that I can use this baby soap to remove my eye makeup without worrying about irritating my eyes.

The last product we tested was the Baby Magic Baby Powder.384932804032HDB_ImageMedium

Specially formulated to absorb moisture and wetness, this powder helps reduce irritation and prevent chafing.

I use the Baby Magic Baby Powder every day as prevention against diaper rash on both of the babies and it works wonderfully.  Baby Magic also suggests using the baby powder as a foot powder and body deodorizer.

If you’re looking to stretch  your budget a little further why not try some of the Baby Magic products and get more bang for your buck!
