Updated with Winner at bottom of post!
This past week has been crazy around my house, three of my four kids have been sick with ear infections and Tylenol and Motrin have been in high demand! One thing that I hate (aside from my babies being sick) is trying to take their temperatures when they are feeling less than happy.
I was recently selected by Mom Select to participate in a review for Reli On Temple Touch Thermometer and believe me when I say that I was more than willing to review this one! Since I haven’t moved over to the world of ear thermometers (which I do not trust by the way) I’ve always relied on my trusty digital thermometer, the problem though is that with babies it’s very hard to get an accurate temperature since they can not do oral and I refuse to do it (ahem…the other way). The Reli On Temple Touch Thermometer works by utilizing a sensor which rapidly samples the heat flowing from the blood vessels to the skin surface and translates it to body temperature all in the span of 6 seconds! The Temple Touch is non-invasive, fast, and it can be used while your child is awake or asleep (a huge plus)!
Since I’ve had a house full of sick babies I had a chance immediately to try out the Reli On Temple Touch, one of the first things I noticed about the Temple Touch was how light weight it was and how easy it was to use. My youngest daughter is notorious for throwing a fit while getting her temperature taken the traditional way so imagine my surprise when I had an accurate temperature from her without her even realizing what I was doing! I loved being able to get a reading of my babies’ temps throughout the night without having to wake them up, this is perhaps the best thing about the Temple Touch! I did compare the temperatures taken with the Temple Touch to those taken with the traditional digital and while the results were the same in the babies (whose temperatures were taken with a digital thermometer under the arm), my middle daughter (who used the digital orally) had a slightly higher temperature using the digital, which could mean I used the Temple Touch wrong, since there is a certain place you are supposed to position it on the side of the head. Overall I was very pleased with the Reli On Temple Touch Thermometer…it saved me many nights of waking my babies up in the middle of the night to get their temperatures!
Thanks to Mom Select one of my fabulous readers are going to get a Reli On Temple Touch Thermometer of their own!

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I take Wiggle Beans temperature under the arm and it is so hard to keep her still long enough to get it done with a standard thermometer.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this for a good friend and co-worker who just had her first child about a month ago -- she's understandably concerned about all elements of her daughter's health, and I think this would put her mind at ease just a bit more. Thanks for the chance to enter!

I need it for my daughter..it is hard to take her temp.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this for my son. Anytime he gets sick, he runs HIGH fevers. They stay well above 102 and sometimes above 105. I have to keep a constant watch on him. I go in every hour while he's sleeping and check his temperature to make sure that he isn't spiking again. This would be so much easier to use than a regular thermometer!
