It's day 3 of our "Fun in the Sun" Summer Bash. I hope you've had a chance to check out day 1 and day 2 and also my girl Alexis' giveaways!

Today's giveaway is for the tweens and teens! My oldest daughter is closer than I'm comfortable with to becoming a teenager and the number one issue we seem to get into the most arguments about is her personal hygiene. It's not that she doesn't want to take a shower or any of that, it's that she doesn't always wash her hair as well as I would like which usually means greasy, dirty looking hair that doesn't smell too nice! The most frustrating part is that there are no hair care products for tweens in my local store which means she is using my shampoo or baby shampoo and neither are designed for her specific hair care needs.

About a month ago I found out about Totally Texty shampoo and conditioner which is made specially for teens and tweens. When I had the opportunity to review both the girls and boys versions of Totally Texty I was very excited since I have 2 smelly haired tweens running around my house this summer! First let me give you the 411 (I had to do that) on Totally Texty! Totally Texty is a haircare product line that was developed specifically with teens and tweens in mind. Totally Texty is paraben free, sodium laurel/laureth sulfate free, DEA/TEA free, and Kathon CG free which makes the decision to use it on your children so much easier! Totally Texty is also super concentrated so a little bit goes a long way! The most unique thing about Totally Texty is the fact that it's geared to the way teens and tweens communicate the bottles are also shaped to look like cell phones which make the products so cute! The Totally Texty shampoos and conditioners are named using texting terms like "YTMN" (you're the man now for boys) and "DDG" (drop dead gorgeous for girls) which I think is absolutely genius!

We received both the YTMN shampoo and the DDG shampoo and conditioner to review. Of course my daughter got very excited when she saw the shampoo and conditioner (yes she got excited about shampoo) because she knew that it was something made just for her! I have to admit that I was skeptical about how well the shampoo and conditioner would actually work but as soon as she finished blow drying her hair after her shower I knew that my reservations were unfounded...Totally Texty worked great! Taylor's hair was soft and manageable and not at all greasy looking, which I was absolutely thrilled about! And while the YTMN shampoo is for my step-son I use it on Gaige (who is almost 2) every night he comes out with great smelling hair that is soft and looks great! My favorite thing about Totally Texty is the fact that it makes the kids hair smell great!

Buy it!!! You can purchase all of the Totally Texty Products online at TotallyTexty.com.

Now with summer in full swing and smelly hair in it's prime how would you like to try out some of the Totally Texty products? The amazing ladies at Totally Texty are giving one of my readers their choice of either the YTMN (boys shampoo) or the DDG (girls shampoo and conditioner)! Can you say heck yeah!

Win it!!!

  21. I like the fact that it is sulfate free, sulfates strip the scalp of natural oils - which is way bad!! I also am thrilled that they come in completely recyclable bottles!! Way to go...

  60. Totally Texty™ is DEA/TEA free. The Cancer Prevention Coalition states that while DEA, a lather producing agent, by itself is not harmful, it can react with the other ingredients in the formulation to form an extremely potent carcinogen called nitrodiethanolamine (NDEA) as it sits on store shelves or the shelves of our homes

  66. I learned that Totally Texty helps the hair stay fresh longer, without adding harsh chemicals to the hair. This is done by adding a new deodorizer to the formulation.
