While I appreciate the role of technology in my children’s lives, I also love seeing them be creative without the help of a smartphone or tablet. I have to admit, though all of my children do love playing all of the games and apps on their devices, they do also love to just take a break from technology and color a picture or engage in creative play (this usually means they’re running around the house acting like super heroes, but hey, I’ll take what I can get). It’s no wonder that they were super psyched with one of our latest review items (the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler) arrived at the house.
If you have little ones, you may have heard about the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler, if not, let me tell you all about the little thing I like to call, “Mommy’s Time-Out Helper”.
About the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler…
Glow Crazy™ Distance Doodler™ from Techno Source, glow-in-the-dark play has never been more fun! The Distance Doodler™ light pen uses patented and safe laser-light technology that allows kids to draw, write and play games on special glow cling canvases from up to 15 feet away. Stick the removable glow clings to ceilings and walls, then doodle from a distance with the laser beam or use the wide beam to design up close and create fun silhouettes. Kids can let their glow creations fade or “glow over” them with the light wand to clear their canvas and start again. New for 2013, an illuminating light brush attaches to the end of the pen for creating brilliant strokes of light, glow-in-the-dark sparkles and more.
We received the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler while the kiddos were still on break from Christmas and it was one of the things that kept them occupied longest during those long, cold two weeks off school. Lil Man and Lil Diva seemed to love the Distance Doodler as much, if not more, than the toys they received for Christmas (at one point my husband turned to me and said, “Why did we just spend all of that $ on the mountain of toys in their rooms?”). As a matter of fact, the only thing I didn’t like about the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler, is that they fought over the doodler (I suppose that’s the correct title for the wand?"). Lil Man and Lil Diva and even Sporty Spice, all give the Distance Doodler 2 big thumbs up! Check out the video below and see what the Distance Doodler can really do!

Thanks to all who entered: This giveaway is now closed!
Ever since my middle daughter Savanna was about a year old she has had a passion for fashion. She refuses to leave the house without all of her clothes and accessories matching perfectly. I try to accommodate her passion when ever possible, but sometimes it becomes impossible to please her. Her latest obsession is rain boots, and not just any rain boots either, adorable, straight from the pages of CosmoGirl magazine, rain boots!
I remember being a kid and wanting with every fiber of my being a pair of cute rain boots, unfortunately the only ones available around here were yellow and not at all cute! I recently came across a company that truly had me at “Hello!” Kidorable is a company that knows fashion and knows what children (and their parents) like! Founders Liping and Jonathon Domsky had the idea for Kidorable and declared, "The world needs someone to create children's apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that." And from their original Frog style to some of the latest and most stylish options Kidorable is a company who has repeatedly gotten it right!

Kidorable has something for every child; from their super cute rain wear to t-shirts, backpacks, towels, and sunhats! All of Kidorable’s products come in a variety of adorable styles including; Butterflies, Firemen, Mermaids, Pirates, and so many more cute styles. From the website:
Kidorable delights both children and the adults who love them by transforming everyday, functional kids accessories into objects that excite their imaginations and enrich their lives at play.
From rainwear to backpacks to knitwear and towels, Kidorable speaks to the precious spirit of childhood.
We had a chance to review part of The English Roses rainwear collection from Kidorable, we reviewed the Houndstooth Rainwear set. The English Roses is the best selling children’s book from Madonna and the rainwear line is just as adorable (maybe even a little bit more) as the book! The first thing I noticed about the Kidorable products was how well made they were, the rain jacket was quite possibly the most adorable piece of outer wear I have ever laid eyes on. My favorite (and definitely Savanna’s) piece of the collection was the rain boots. I can not even begin to explain to you how a pair of rain boots could make a seven year old over the moon happy, but they did! Aside from the fact that my daughter loved them I thought the items were amazing (anything that could make my daughter that happy gets an A in my book).

I am always on the lookout for new products for my kids and it's become an obsession to find only the safest most natural products for them. With more and more companies introducing "Eco-friendly" and "natural" alternatives to their original products it's becoming more difficult to sort out the good from the hype.
I heard about Kiss My Face from one of my friends a while back but never really gave the company a second thought. Of course this was before I really committed myself to being more green in all aspects of my life. Recently I was asked to do a review for Kiss My Face and I thought that was fates way of telling me that I needed to start using these products so I accepted (I wouldn't want to mess with fate after all) and I'm very glad that I did.
Kiss My Face is a company that is committed to producing high quality beauty and personal care products that are organic and natural. The company (founded in the 1980's) was the brainchild of two vegetarians who were looking for healthy personal care alternatives...Kiss My Face was created from their need to find great natural products. The Kiss My Face collection features everything from toothpaste and shower gels, to cosmetics and deodorant.
Kiss My Face also has a great kids line that includes hand wash, toothpaste, bubble wash, and lip balms among other products. Kiss My Face Kids is free of artificial colors, fragrances, parabens, and SLS. The kids collection is full of natural ingredients including Organic Green Tea Extract (which helps protect against sun damage), Nettle Extract (to stimulate hair growth and improve the condition of the scalp), and Tea Tree Oil (which is known for its germ killing abilities).

My kids received the entire kids line to try out and boy did they have a great time reviewing these products. The first thing they noticed about the products was the brightly colored bottles and the adorable animals on them. Each package features a different endangered species, Peter the Panda, Preston the Penguin (my personal favorite) and Walter the Whale among others. [One very cool aspect of Kiss My Face Kids that I loved is the fact that your children can go online to www.kissmyface.com/kids and interact with the animals, learn interesting facts about them, download coloring pages, and even play games!] When my children used the products they raved about the scent (we received the Orange u Smart scent) they loved the way it smelled. I have to admit I wasn't too crazy about the orange scent but they liked it and that's all that mattered. Overall I really was impressed with the way the products worked, they got my babies squeaky clean and they had fun getting that way, which is very unusual. They especially loved the Walter the Whale soap which is actually shaped like a whale (so cute). I was most impressed by the 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner my fiance and I both couldn't believe how soft Gaige's hair was after we washed his hair with it!
Buy it: The products range in price from $5.95 to $9.95 and can be purchased online at www.kissmyface.com as well as Target, Whole Foods, and natural food stores.
Win it: Kiss My Face has generously agreed to give one Misadventures in Baby Raising reader the entire kids line of products (includes all of the products pictured above)...

- Self-Foaming Hand Wash
- Detangler Creme
