As my children get older, I find myself struggling to find age appropriate holiday gifts for them that they’ll love, but that I won’t need to take out a second mortgage to pay for—seriously, it’s crazy how expensive their Christmas lists are. Given the ridiculousness of their wish lists, I’m always on the lookout for things that they’ll like and I can afford and since I know I’m not the only parent out there with this problem, I thought I’d share a great gift idea for all of you with kids who are sports fanatics!

The older my children get the harder it is to find age appropriate holiday gifts for them. Between the outrageously expensive requests I receive from my oldest daughter (yea right, like an iPad for my 11 year old is ever gonna happen) and the knowledge that I must step up my game and cough up a lot more money with 3 tweens to buy for this Christmas I don’t have a prayer. Since I can’t really afford to go buy iPads for 3 kids the sensible mom in me takes over and I go on the hunt for awesome, unique, and most importantly “Tween Trio Approved” gifts for Christmas.
One of the very first companies I came across in my quest for tween/teen appropriate gifts was Road Rage Jewelry. Now just hearing the name invokes images of crazy drivers and major traffic headaches, but this kind of Road Rage is a good kind and something you definitely want to know about…especially if you have tweens or teens. Road Rage Jewelry was born out of creator and designer Jeanne Koesters’ early morning road rage experience, as Jeanne drove along she noticed different road signs and the colors and shapes and decided that Road Rage didn’t have to be a bad thing!
Here’s a little more about Road Rage Jewelry from their website:
“She (Jeanne) began by locating a manufacturer (ISO certified) and commenced production of actual street signs. She truly believed in pursuing the "green aspect" of production, and when studying her particular target market and their concerns, she was determined to "keep it real." We received a necklace (from the aptly titled Street Series) as well as 3 different charms (LOL, stop sign, and SUP). As soon as I opened the package and saw the necklace and charms I knew that Road Rage Jewelry was going to be a huge hit with the tween/teen crowd. My kids are obsessed with jewelry and my oldest daughter couldn’t wait to show it off to all of her friends. Knowing that I found a company that she likes takes some of the pressure to find “cool gifts mom…gah” (kid you not those are here words) off of this mommy.
