Alright, obviously as an adult I don't still think it would be as cool to be a mermaid as I once thought, but I have a daughter who I see constantly reliving my childhood fantasies thanks to the Disney Princesses and none is more near and dear to her than Ariel. Lil Diva will be overcome with excitement when come October 1, "The Little Mermaid" will be splashing its way into homes everywhere with its much anticipated debut on Diamond Edition Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, Digital Copy and HD and SD Digital formats! Disney is also releasing a Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack that allows families to experience Ariel’s underwater adventures like never before in wondrously immersive 3-D. This Combo Pack includes the Blu-ray 3D, a Blu-ray, a DVD, a Digital Copy, plus a 10 Music Track Download.
Disclosure: I received a copy of the movie in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

Wanna take a sneak peak at the Beauty and the Beast 3D trailer? I thought so…check it out below!
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ magical classic “Beauty and the Beast” returns to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D™, introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of Paige O’Hara), a bright and beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of Robby Benson) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff—a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others—and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.
Featuring unforgettable music by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, and an enormously talented vocal ensemble, “Beauty and the Beast” was the first animated feature to receive a Best Picture nomination from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Notes:
The film was nominated for six Academy Awards®, winning Oscars® for Best Song, by the renowned Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and Best Original Score (Menken).
“Beauty and the Beast” was the first animated feature to cross the $100 million plateau in its initial release.
- Alan Menken has been nominated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 15 times with seven wins. Prior to his death in 1991, Howard Ashman received six Oscar® nominations with two wins.
- Three years after the film’s debut, “Beauty and the Beast” hit Broadway. The musical opened at the Palace Theatre and ran in New York for 5,464 performances between 1994 and 2007, becoming the eighth-longest running production. It has played in 13 countries and 115 cities and continues to enchant audiences worldwide.
I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t wait to hit theatres in January to see this Disney classic!

Lil’ Diva is all about Disney Princesses these days; if she’s not singing along to Cinderella, she’s glued to the television watching Rapunzel. And while Lil’ Diva loves all of the Disney Princesses, there’s one princess who’s at the top of her list—Rapunzel, followed closely by Belle!
I was so excited when Disney announced the premiere of their short film, Tangled Ever After, in front of Disney’s classic Beauty and the Beast in 3D this coming January! If your lil’ one is a Disney princess fan then keep reading to find out more about the upcoming release of Beauty and the Beast in 3D and the short film, Tangled Ever After!
Rising animation stars Byron Howard and Nathan Greno bring their latest hilarious, hair-raising installment of Rapunzel and Flynn’s story to the big screen!
The Walt Disney Studios proudly announced today that directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, the talented team behind Disney Animation Studio’s global blockbuster Tangled, will premiere a delightful new animated short film spotlighting the royal wedding of Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) and Flynn Rider – a.k.a Eugene – (Zachary Levi) in front of each screening of Beauty and the Beast in 3D, which opens on January 13, 2012.
By popular demand, Greno and Howard are bringing back some of Disney’s most beloved characters when Tangled Ever After picks up where Tangled left off. The Kingdom is in a festive mood as everyone gathers for the royal wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn. However, when Pascal and Maximus, as flower chameleon and ring bearer, respectively, lose the gold bands, a frenzied search and recovery mission gets underway. As the desperate duo tries to find the rings before anyone discovers that they’re missing, they leave behind a trail of comical chaos that includes flying lanterns, a flock of doves, a wine barrel barricade and a very sticky finale. Will Maximus and Pascal save the day and make it to the church in time? And will they ever get Flynn’s nose right?
Tangled Ever After is the perfect accompaniment to Beauty and the Beast, which is returning to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D™ and introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. Beauty and the Beast was nominated for six Academy Awards®, winning Oscars® for Best Song, by the renowned Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and Best Original Score (Menken).
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the release of Beauty and the Beast in 3D (Belle was always one of my very favorite princesses) and knowing that Lil’ Diva will get to see a new short film of her all-time favorite movie Tangled is just all the more reason to get excited! We can’t wait!
