image You know the saying, “Must be something in the water.”?--well where I live it couldn’t be more true.  No, there’s not an unusually large number of pregnant women running around my town, I’m actually speaking literally…the water quality where I live in deplorable.  We’ve been a totally bottled water drinking family for as far back as I can remember, I just do not feel comfortable enough with the quality of the tap water to drink it or even use it to cook with.  Needless to say, buying bottled water all of the time can get costly…very costly.  I have tried water filter pitchers and filtration systems only to end up being out more money and not having a solution to the problem.

Recently I was introduced to the Zuvo Water Purator and I wondered if finally my water woes were history.  The Zuvo Water filtration system is a state of the art,  eco-friendly device that is so easy to use anyone can do it.  The Zuvo Water Purator fits easily on your counter or under your sink and is a breeze to install (I installed our countertop unit in just a few minutes without my husbands help)!  Curious about how the Zuvo Water Purator works?  Take a look at this explanation from the Zuvo website!

The Zuvo Water Purator™ uses a patented five-step process to produce clean, healthy, great tasting water...just the way nature intended!
Step 1: Ozonation
In nature, ozone is generated by lightning and cleans the air where rainwater forms. The Zuvo Water Purator mixes ozone with incoming tap water to treat taste and odor contaminants and improve taste. Like chlorine, ozone is a powerful oxidizer. Unlike chlorine, ozone leaves no chemical residue.
Step 2: Ultraviolet Light
The ozone saturated water is flooded with high-intensity UV light - the same as the solar energy that cleans water in the upper atmosphere.
Step 3: Photo-oxidation
The Zuvo Water Purator combines UV and ozone in a patented process known as photo-oxidation which releases powerful oxidizers to further treat the water.
Step 4: filtration with lead removal
Pure spring water is created by passing through fine particles in the earth. Zuvo uses the same principle by passing water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter, reducing chlorine taste and odor, lead, and tiny particulates.
Step 5: post-filtration UV
The filtered water is again exposed to high-intensity UV light as it leaves the Zuvo Water Purator, ensuring that you get clean, healthy, great tasting water...just the way nature intended!

It’s actually really scary to think of all of the bacteria, lead, chlorine and who knows what else is floating around in our water…yuck!  Let me give you 3 great reasons why you should check out Zuvo:  it’s better for you than tap water, it saves you time and money (no more buying bottled water), and it’s good for the environment (reduces the waste from plastic water bottles).

Thanks to Zuvo and Family Review Network we were sent the Zuvo Water Purator countertop unit to review.  At first glance the unit was intimidating and much bigger than I imagined it would be, but as I started reading the directions I realized that it was going to be a breeze to install…and it was.  Within minutes I had the Zuvo hooked up and ready to go.  Instantly my  biggest concern with the Zuvo unit was its size and how much room it would take up on my countertop, but after a little clever rearranging it fit perfectly beside my sink.  The first time I used the Zuvo my kids went ape crazy over it, they could not get over the blue and the sound…they loved it.  And while I enjoyed the fact that they were amused by the Zuvo amusement was not my first concern…I wondered how the water tasted.  Honestly I am a water snob…I refuse to drink tap water and I only like one particular brand of bottled water so I knew I was going to be a hard sale, but truthfully the water tastes great…no chemical taste, no odors…it surprised me in such a great way!  Aside from the taste the quality of the water was like night and day—when I put a glass of regular tap water up against the purified water from the Zuvo Purator you could instantly tell the difference.  The tap water was cloudy, smelled of chlorine, and had not so tiny particles floating around in it, while the water from the Zuvo was crystal clear…that is what sold me!  I have been using the Zuvo Water Filtration system for 2 weeks now and have already noticed a difference in savings from not buying bottled water!  I do have one complaint about the Zuvo Water Purator, I have notied a decrease in water pressure (even when the unit is not in use) since installing it, a small price to pay for clean water in my opinion.

But don’t take my word for it…see the Zuvo in action..below…notice the hard water stains on my sink (that will not come off) that is how bad the quality of our water is.
