The Latest Jon and Kate Drama!

I’ve tried to stay away from the whole Jon and Kate drama, but with Jon sinking to his latest low (and in my opinion lowest, low) I felt that I needed to speak about it!

First of all in case you weren’t aware Jon Gosselin is being accused of almost emptying his and Kate’s joint bank account. According to Kate the bank account was used to pay the bills and provide for their children. You can watch her interview with the Today Show’s Meredith Vieira here!

I have a huge problem with this! When my ex-husband and I first separated he gave me the house, of course I had been a SAHM for nearly 6 years at that time and had absolutely no way of paying the mortgage or any of the other bills. A couple of weeks after we separated my ex cleared our joint bank account of all funds leaving me with two small children and absolutely no way to take care of them. My husband had always been the bread winner and I had always taken care of our house and family, but while my lifestyle was far from what Kate and her children are accustomed to living, it was comfortable and we didn’t want or need for anything. I was completely terrified and lost, I had no idea what to do or where to turn…it was one of the scariest things to not wonder if you will be able to feed your children that day or the next. And while I do feel that Kate is being a little dramatic when she says she worries that she won’t be able to feed her children, I can completely sympathize with her and the situation she is going through. Truth be told if I had, had a platform where I could have made everyone aware of what an asshat my ex-husband was I would have.
