I hope y’all aren’t too mad at me for taking a little break yesterday for Wordless Wednesday! I promised that I would be back today with more great companies to share and products to give away and I am a woman of my word! Enjoy!
When I think of warm weather I think of swimming and when I think of swimming I think of swim suits—and then I shutter. I love summer and I love swimming, but I hate trying to find a bathing suit that fits, looks good, and is comfortable, and I know I am not alone in this! Since I’m about 3 kids past wearing a bikini those are out completely out of the question (oh what I wouldn’t give for my 18 year old body back) and one pieces remind me of old women (no disrespect they just do). With the two most popular swimwear choices a no go for me I look for a tankini, but I find that most of the tops are too short and leave my stomach exposed…a definite no no for me. But I have good news for all of you ladies who are like me when it comes to swim suits…I found a company who makes swim suits that are amazing, affordable, and look great on anyone…yes it is possible.
DownEast Basics is a company that gets women. From their fabulous dresses and killer handbags to their stylish and fun swimwear, DownEast Basics just gets it right! I spent the longest time just browsing through all of the tops and dresses, the Tuxedo Top (pictured above) is one of my favorites—and it’s only $16.99! Since this is a fun in the sun party I thought swim suits were a perfect item to focus on and since I’m a tankini kinda girl I totally appreciate the fact that DownEast Basics has a great selection of tanks and bikini bottoms to mix and match…how can it get better than that?
I received the Hollywood Tank (in ocean and yellow) and the Santa Cruz Bikini Skirt (also in ocean) to review (both pictured above). I have to say I was very anxious to see if they would fit perfectly the way we all want a swimsuit to fit. I was pleasantly surprised when I slipped the tank and skirt on and they fit amazingly. Not only did the swimsuit fit very well it is also so stylish—my sister immediately commented on how cute it was. The polka-dot tankini top has a large button detail which gives the top a little pizzazz, the tank also features wide straps that cross in the back giving you an instant slimming affect to your arms and shoulders. The Santa Cruz Bikini Skirt is one of my favorite pieces ever, I love the gathering detail on the sides and it does wonders for your hips and butt, while at the same time it’s short enough that it’s sexy and not frumpy at all…I wish I would have found this a long time ago! My niece’s 2nd birthday party is this weekend and it’s a pool party—I cannot wait to show off my new swimsuit to everyone…it’s been a long time since I could say that!
What I like about DownEast Basics SwimSuits: I love that the tank is extra long so it covers the stomach completely, that makes pulling, tugging, and readjusting unnecessary! I also love the wide range of styles, designs, and colors that are offered on all of the swimsuits. More than anything else I like that DownEast Basics’ swimsuits are suits that women (especially moms) can feel comfortable, sexy, and confident in…they get 2 big thumbs up from me!
Buy it: You can purchase the DownEast Basics Hollywood Tank for $29.99 and the Santa Cruz Bikini Skirt for $24.99 both online at DownEastBasics.com!
Now the best part, well second best because the swimsuit is just fabulous, DownEast Basics is giving one lucky Misadventures in Baby Raising reader a swimsuit from their online store!
