Things have been crazy for me so far this year; I’ve taken on the task of starting another blog, I’ve come to terms with a few things in my life I’m still on the fence about a few more and most recently, my step-son has came to live with my husband and I full-time! And as if my life isn’t chaotic enough normally, we have not one,, but four of our six children enrolled in baseball or softball this year and that means a crazy-hectic baseball/softball season for this momma! If I told you that I love my life this crazy all of the time, you’d know I was lying so I’m not going to sugar coat it…it takes work, lots and lots of work, but I wouldn’t change it for anything (most days)!
With all of the added stress, 2012 has started out at hyper speed for me, it’s only fair that I get a little rest and relaxation time…right? Now, I’m not normally the type of girl that fusses about myself too much; it’s been forever and a day since I’ve had my hair cut at a salon (my cousin Tiffany, who can do anything with hair, usually cuts it for me), I don’t have my nails done on a regular basis (mostly because biting my nails is one of my worst habits and they are usually not in the best shape) and I’ve never actually had a professional massage (unless you count that one boyfriend I had before I met my current husband—I still think he had a secret massage therapy license he wasn't’ telling me about). That being said, I won’t say that I haven’t dreamed of having a day where I can relax, be pampered and not have to hear MOMMY three million times, once or twice!
When my BBF Debra (best bloggy friend) from way back (she’s known me since I started this blog) contacted me last month and asked me if I would be interested in coming and doing a review of the spa she works at, I kinda thought I was being punked! I mean, come on, those kinds of things just don’t happen to overworked, overextended, overly stressed moms of four…do they? Well, it turns out that they do!
Without going into too much detail, I’m going to visit Revitalize MD MedSpa and Laser Center for a day of relaxation and treatments this Thursday! Revitalize MD is located in Springboro, Ohio, which is a good little haul from where I live in Southern Ohio, but I can’t wait for my visit! I am completely excited for my treatments (I don’t want to give too much away, but I’m having something called YOLO Curve done tomorrow and I cannot wait…if you’re local to the area you’re definitely going to want to keep an eye out for my coming posts because there could be an awesome giveaway in it for one lucky reader) and I’m just as excited to meet my girl Debra!
If you’re a friend of mine on Facebook or follow me on Twitter you can follow along with my visit as I will be updating my Facebook and Twitter streams regularly throughout the day…you can also “Like” Revitalize MD on Facebook, Follow Revitalize MD on Twitter or visit the Revitalize MD website to learn more!
I envy you! Hope you have the best day ever. I look forward to hearing about your experience b/c I've never been to a spa myself.
