Reverse-A-Purse {Review&Giveaway}

There are a few things I have a major weakness for; babies (I have baby fever all.the.time, but sadly I am done with having my own), shoes…especially boots (love them), and hand bags.  It’s the last weakness that used to get me into serious trouble!  And though I have left the days of crazy, expensive hand bags behind me I still like to look and dream and hope and pray and well, you get the picture.  Nowadays I like to keep my hand bag budget under control, but I still do love fabulous and that’s one of the reasons I love Reverse-A-Purse!

Reverse-A-Purse is a company that helps you make the most out of your budget and your purses!  Reverse-A-Purse creator and President Catherine Brehm thought of the concept for Reverse-A-Purse after purchasing a purse that she loved only  to find that it didn’t match anything in her wardrobe (something I’m sure we can all relate to).  Limited by her budget and closet space Catherine took to her grandmother’s sewing machine and with a few fabric scraps designed the prototype for Reverse-A-Purse and the rest is well, history!  Here’s what Catherine has to say about Reverse-A-Purse:

Reverse-A-Purse let’s you (the customer) design your purse from start to finish!  You choose a purse (from the impressive selection of styles), choose a color for the purse (black or brown), and then you choose a cover and that is where the real fun begins!  Each cover features two different and unique patterns and with 15 covers to choose from the options are many!

I received a Luxe (style of bag) purse in black with the NEW Flirt cover for my review.  As soon as I opened the package containing the purse I was impressed with the size of the Luxe bag, it is big, without being massive and roomy enough to hold everything in my  purse or “black pit” as my husband calls it.  I chose the Flirt cover because I thought that it offered 2 very different and distinct options that would match any number of outfits in my closet.  I love the quilted look of the ivory side of the cover (FYI:  The color of the Flirt cover on the website is not the same color as the Luxe Flirt cover I received…the color I received was Ivory and the color on the site appears to be silver, BUT I adore the Ivory color).  The pink patterned side of the Flirt cover is fun and though I have yet to sport it out on the town I know it will be perfect for evenings out with my hubby or friends! 

Overall I am impressed with Reverse-A-Purse, but I did have a few issues and though minor I wanted to point them out.  I received my Flirt cover with a black mark on the Ivory side, not a huge deal, but straight out of the package with a black mark on Ivory is not what I expected.  Second one of the tabs (the elastic tabs that hold the cover in place) broke the first time I placed the cover on, though I did rig it so it wasn’t noticeable I was disappointed that it broke before I ever got the chance to use it.  The company did provide me with a replacement cover.



All of that said I have received so many compliments on the Luxe bag, and I do very thoroughly enjoy it (it’s the whole hand bag addiction thing I have).  I think any of the purses in the Reverse-A-Purse collection would make an excellent gift for any of the ladies on your holiday shopping list!
