Pizza is a staple at our house; it is requested for every single meal by my three year old and at least once a week by the rest of the family.  Now I have nothing against pizza, but making the same old pepperoni, cheese, and green pepper pizza every week does get old.  Last week I decided to switch things up a bit and combine 2 of my favorite foods—tacos and pizza—and the result was DE.LIC.IOUS!
Taco Pizza101_0563
Ingredients
2 Boboli Pizza Crusts
1 medium jar of mild salsa
1/2 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 envelope taco seasoning
2 tomatoes, diced
1/2 of a head of lettuce, shredded
1 8 oz. bag Shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 450.  Brown ground beef in a medium sauté pan with diced onion.  Drain any grease from the ground beef and add taco seasoning according to package directions and set aside.  Place pizza crusts   on lightly greased baking sheets.  Top teach pizza crust with half of the jar of salsa, spread until even.  Cover salsa with seasoned ground beef and place in the oven for 8-10 minutes.  When pizza comes out of the oven allow to cool slightly.  Add shredded lettuce, tomato, and cheddar cheese to pizza crust.  Slice and enjoy!
This is by far my family’s all time favorite pizza…they ask for it time and again!  And hey sure it’s pizza and a taco all rolled into one, but don’t knock it till you try it because this is YUMMO!
