Today is Day 1o in our Fun in the Sun summer blog party and boy has time flown by! I know I said that we only had 11 days but I lied...don't be upset with me that means 2 more great giveaways instead of 1!As I mentioned in an earlier post all of my children require sunglasses in the summer, notice I said require because getting them is not an option. While it's fairly easy to go to Wal Mart (sorry I detest this place but it's just about the only place to shop around here) and find sunglasses to fit the older kids I seem to have a very hard time finding sunglasses to fit my son and youngest daughter. The sunglasses I have purchased for my littlest ones in the past have either been too big, too small, or impossible to keep on their face.
While researching companies for the Fun in the Sun event I happened across another blog that was doing a review for Baby Banz so I went to the website and checked it out...I am so glad that I did. Baby Banz started in 2001 in Australia (known as one of the harshest climates in the world) they were introduced in America in 2002. The Baby Banz sunglasses are known for their unique wrap around banded design which allow for very little exposure to dangerous UV rays. In addition to the their sunglasses Baby Banz also offers an array of other UV protective products include sun hats, swimwear and flap hats, Ski Banz, and Retro Banz.
My son received the original Kidz Banz (designed for children age 2-5) in Nordic Camo to review. I was immediately impressed with how sporty and fun the Kidz Banz were, my son of course loved them almost instantly and looked so darn cute walking around with them on his little face. I was very pleased with the fact that the lenses in the Kidz Banz offer 100% UVA and UVB protection sun safety is always first and foremost in my mommy mind. I also very much appreciated the fact that there is a strap around the sunglasses that keeps the Kidz Banz in place, this is something that the glasses in the store just do not have. While it did take Gaige a little while to get used to wearing the Kidz Banz (purely because of the elastic strap) once we had them adjusted perfectly he didn't want to take them off. I love the fact that the Kidz Banz offer him a tremendous amount of sun protection for his delicate eyes and Gaige loves that he's wearing sunglasses...it's a win-win!
